Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Finally got it installed but having some problems with the script. I reflashed it with RevC firmware, and added it as a controller (advanced to ttyacm0), but it never shows the LCD Screen, and when i go to add sensors it says it cant communicate with brewpi-script. So i went into putty, into...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Finally getting around to updating my original brewpi+arduino setup to use Fermentrack. My old setup has still been running strong all these years later, even as a pile of wires and crap on top of my fermenter. I've only had 1 relay board(really just 1 relay on that board) go out in the nearly...

American Porter Bee Cave Brewery Robust Porter

It's been a while since I brewed this one and it ferments crazy but dang I wasn't expecting this. 11.5 gallons in a 17ish gallon conical with nearly a foot of headspace fermented at 65 and its the first beer that's ever broken out of this fermenter. Robust porter fermentation by FuzzeWuzze...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

charts.js is the de facto charting out there it can pretty much make any plot you could possibly want with the right configuration and dataset. BrewPi has some pretty generic charts so it shouldnt be that hard to reproduce. That said if you just want the hot/cold bars on the bottom you can...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Is there a reason your using Dygraphs instead of something like charts.js? I know nothing of your setup so keep that in mind lol.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Damn this post is 4 years old now?! Been out of country and dealing with new(ish) baby, so just now getting back into brewing and did my first batch in like 6 months this last weekend. Plugged trusty BrewPi back in and off it went, so that was nice. Looks like there's been a lot of upgrades...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Finally got a moment to brew again after 6+ months being away, and I remembered some things that annoyed me im hoping someone can just tell me how to do. This panel was originally a Strangebrew Elsinore box, and I liked their "hysteresis" mode because i could tell it to do X cycles on, Y cycles...

    Super Simple 15G Plastic Conical

Thats my question though. If my fermenter is in a stand in my stand up freezer, and i stick a keg on the floor next to it, the top of the keg reaches probably the 2-3 gallon area on the conical. Does that mean once i get down to that 2-3 gallon mark im going to lose all my gravity flow...

    Super Simple 15G Plastic Conical

I have another question to ask you guys. How are you actually draining these into a keg? Are you lifting them up? Applying pressure? I can see how filling a keg would work with 10 gallons in, but maybe im just misunderstanding the physics behind getting the second 5 gallons out. Will it...

    Super Simple 15G Plastic Conical

I realize this thread has started to die, but i found one of these on c list today unused for $25 he bought to brew but never got around to it. For those of you drilling in racking arms where are you putting them to make sure they stay above any trub/yeast? Or are they not necessary if you...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Maybe im lucky, but ive just had my SSR's wired to my GPIO pins for years using Strangebrew Elsinore and now CraftBeerPi and have had no issues.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

You can test it by just moving your relay board as far away as possible from your arduino and temp probes. As others said, your fridge power is likely getting coupled onto the probe wire and causing it have this behavior. Mines not that far maybe 6-8 inches away, my guess is that yours are on...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Have you tried just resetting them all to default? You may want to restart the RPI as well just to make sure its taken. Off the top of my head the setting that may cause this is the PID Maximum setting. It should be 18F by default.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Looks like a fluke and bad reading from the probe, theres no way it spiked that high and came back down that fast. Any chance you or someone was doing something near/in the chamber around that time and bumped the probe or RPI somehow?

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

And ill add once you get the hang of it a whole new world of DIY opens up to you. Hell i built a 17" digital picture frame that hangs on our kitchen wall hooked up to our network storage with thousands of family pictures for like $100. An equivalent product(which doesnt really exist) would be...

    First BrewPi setup questions.

There's no point removing the thermostat, you just build/buy the brewpi and plug it into the BrewPi controlled power socket like you would your Johnson. The fridge will not constantly have power applied too it, the BrewPi will operate exactly as the Johnson one does except it will be more...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

I'd need to see the graphs both zoomed out and or zoomed in if the graph is really long(7+days) and squished together to get any idea's. The only thing that comes to mind is your chamber probe is at the top of your chamber. Heat rises, so it will artifically see slightly higher temps than...
