    First brew.

Does the flavor normally change a bit after the full 2 weeks in the bottles? They have been bottled for 1 week and 2 days. When it was a little warmer then the cold it was pretty good but seemed a little more bitter then the cold one. Thanks

    Who's your supplier?

Rebel Brewer. Great online and great local small company. I've bought from them for a while now. Great group of guys.

    First brew.

Welp they both actually tasted really good. I like the chilled a little better but surprisingly they both taste pretty good. I'm having a few friends over and they all are going to taste it and let me know what they think. I'm having about 10 friends and family try it and see how others...

    First brew.

It's a chocolate caramel brew. I was going for a lager and didn't realize I was fermenting it to hot. Actually reading to book now so I know more about the fermenting now. (I was anxious and brewed it before I read how to brew lol) I knew some about being from other hobbies, so I figured heck...

    First brew.

So I finally cracked open a bottle of my first home brew. Here are some pics. Ended up being 5.5% alc. It tasted great and was smooth. Have two in the fridge to get cold so I can try it good and chilled. Surprisingly no sediment either in the bottle. (It was one of the first bottles too so...

    First beer brew

Oh ok... So a steam style. It's only 71 because that's the temp inside my house. I actually seen that book in Rebel brewer today. I'll pick that up and give it a go. Thanks for the replies! My recipe called for a 1.015 gravity I was at 1.01 when I checked I earlier. Should I go ahead...

    First beer brew

So my brew has been in the fermenter for 3 weeks now. It's bubbling every 3 mins spot on right now. Hoping to be able to bottle it in the next few days. The anticipation kills me, where whiskey used to ferment in 7-14 days, beer is taking quite a bit longer. Hoping for a decent turn...

I'm going to try a Chocolate Caramel Porter first. I'm going all grain. I pay attention to detail to the T so i'm hoping following directions will get me a decent brew. If not i'll try try again. My wife thinks it'll be good for the fall. After she tried some Angry Orchard yesterday...
