    Old capper PIX - need info

    I will be removing the rust and replacing the cushion in the bell. I did try it out, seems to work but the cap didn't crimp on tight. I figured it was due to the cushion.

    Blackberry Wine: Any Good?

    Up here on the Olympic peninsula we are having a bumper crop of blackberries, our bushes have more than I could possibly pick, let alone use. So many, I've ran out of airlocks and glassware. I am having to freeze/vacuum seal berries now. From bushes to primary in under an hour :)...

    rico567, How hard/soft is the ring inside the bell? I believe i need to replace the ring on this one. Its hard and looks like it could crack under any stress. Jon

    What color are your's? or is the color gone. From the bottom I can clearly see it was fire engine red, and I plan are restoring it. The cushing/ring inside the bell is old/hard, I am not sure how soft it should be or if I need to replace it. Any advise on that?
