    Another DIPA recipie

Thanks for the great responses! Here's a little more info and my recipe to date. My favorite DIPA so far that I've had is 7-C's from Dry Dock brewing in Denver, and there's a few reasons I liked it the most... you get a lot of malt flavor (even through the bitterness) up front but it...

    Another DIPA recipie

So here is my recipe for my DIPA. I'd appreciate some comments. Particularly on which yeast to use and method for pitching a vial of White Labs yeast. I don't have all the stuff I need to make a large starter... well, I guess I could make one in a 2L soda bottle. Maybe add some yeast nutrients...

Medicine, Band Aid Off Flavor - Solved

I've had my first bad batch.... a band-aid batch. I don't use a hose, but I do have a couple ideas of what may have caused the problem. My question.... I have my beer in a keg for a week now, will the flavor go away with time, or should I cut my losses now and dump it?

    Pumpkin ale from kit

I just bottled a 5 gallon batch of Pumpkin "Oktoberfest" Ale last weekend that should be AWESOME! I used 1/2 oz at about 15 mins. Then racked to secondary 2 weeks in, and added another 1/4 oz to suit my tastes. The hydrometer reading tasted 100x's better than the dogfish head pumpkin ale...

    Looking for an inexpensive regulator

I've thought about getting a welding regulator... will it work, or do you need some special connections/fittings?

    Denver here

Hey everyone, I'm from Denver, and just recently started homebrewing (since just before Christmas). I'm using the Mr. Beer kit (don't knock it 'til you've tired it!), but have already started steeping and doing partial mashes. I did a Belgian the other day to celebrate at the birth of my...

    WLP500 and other Belgian yeasts

Did you use Irish Moss? I've only done one Belgian beer so far, using WLP500 and I have yet to drink it, but looking at the bottles... they are VERY clear, with a little sediment at the bottom. I can literally read the label through the brown glass and the paper.
