Ok just looked at the packet... it says on the packet net @ 4g. I weighed it and with the packaging it weighs 5 grams. The yeast came from a 1 gal recipe kit from Northern Brewer. And Northern Brewer is the only brand on label. Yes, next time I will measure out half and store the rest as you...

Looking to purchase a mini fridge to use as a fermentation chamber with an inkbird

You may want to look into a chest freezer... for not too much more money you could get interior dimensions where alteration is not needed. Also, better insulated and better for lagering if you choose to do so. I am temporarily using a this one without freezer: Magic Chef 4.4 cu. ft. Mini Fridge...

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

Hey guys, I brewed my first 1 gal batch this morning and used a 1 gal carboy as a fermenter. I understand my primary fermenter should have been around 2 gal. I do have a 3 gal carboy... should I rack to that and prevent a blow out? The beer is hefe and I currently have a blow out hose set up

    First batch screw up

I have a 3 gallon carboy as well. Guess I should have used that? Thought 3 gallon would be too much for a 1 gallon batch though
