Cutting Mitres for a keezer collar

Couldn't agree more. Used a brand new Dewalt miter saw for mine and set it at 45. Two 45s did not make a 90. Had to adjust til I got it perfect (and to be honest, it still wasn't). I would definitely suggest setting it up with some cheaper wood.

    XXXXX's Whirlpool WAR349BSL Kegerator Conversion (37 picture step-by-step slideshow)

Nice build! I was looking at the 4.4 CF model to build one of my own but eventually decided to save the money and convert a small 5.0 CF freezer I had in my basement not being used. Collar is on and just waiting for my beer to be ready. Congrats!

    Am I the only one?

I've noticed this too. I'm on my fourth brew and have been tasting my samples at all stages. My first was a wheat but I didn't really care for the taste of the wort. I love wheat beers and the wort gave me no indication that the beer would taste like a wheat. An soon as it was 1 week in the...

    keg connection.com

Sorry for the delay, you probably don't need the info now but yes I did go USPS and got a 2 keg premium kit minus the co2 tank. Shipping was $60 and duty was $14 when canada post dropped it off. Very good deal I thought.

Same here. Until I decided to pick up the phone and then everything got better.

    Charlie Foxtrot Keezer Logo

That's awesome! Definitely something personal and unique to look at everytime you pour a pint. :mug: Makes me want to find a way to personalize mine!

    keg connection.com

The kit I ordered arrived just before Christmas. Very happy with the service and the delivery. Quality looks good but I have yet to try it. Beer line hose is 5 feet on mine and if I could do it over again I would order it with at least 10ft. I haven't used mine to know if I will have to change...

If 5 ft of Bev Line isn't enough.....

What are you using as a kegerator? I'm converting a rather small (5cf) freezer so I'm wondering if maybe that will help the foaming issue. If I would have done more research ahead of time I definitely would have asked keg connection to add longer lines just in case.

If 5 ft of Bev Line isn't enough.....

Guess I'll give it a shot and see how the kit works as is. Going to get longer lines once the beer is ready will make me mad though, haha. But, there's no way I'm bleeding the pressure every time. I didn't get this fancy setup/faucets and build the keezer only to lift the lid every time and...

If 5 ft of Bev Line isn't enough.....

....then why do the kegging kits only come with 5 feet? I just finished adhering my collar to my freezer and was wondering about this. I have everything I need to start kegging but I'm frustrated that I might have to alter the kit I got before I even start. Picked up a 2 tap system from keg...

How long should I let my beer sit in the bottles?

I know everyone that posted before me has more experience but I'm more of the attitude of do whatever you want to do and make your own decisions about it. This is a hobby after all. I really like all the tips and experience I get from these boards but there are certain things you want to...

    Kegging newbie

Sorry to jump in on Jeff's post but I'm just about to start kegging too with a kit I picked up from keg connection. How would you rack into a pressurized keg? Hook up my auto-siphon to the beer out line? I assumed I'd rack into the lid opening and then seal and pressurize but I'd certainly be...

    Brewhouse Kits

Tried my Prairie Wheat last week and I was very impressed! After carbing for 2 weeks it was perfect. It's been at room temperature for 3 weeks now so I'll be moving it to the basement. Have less to move since I already have about 4 litres gone. Don't think it'll last long enough to see if it...

    Keezer project started *pics*

Thanks for the write-up. I have a 2 keg system coming from keg connection and a spare freezer in the basement. Just need to get the materials! If I may ask, how did you attach the collar to the lid? I'm considering attaching the collar to the freezer because I wasn't sure how to attach it...

Bottling with Starsan in the bottles

I do the same thing minus the dishwasher. But by running them in the dishwasher, aren't you in essense rinsing them?

    Brewhouse Kits

Just wanted to let you know what I did for this kit. It was my first brew so I'm definitely a beginner. I made the Prairie Wheat on Nov 10th. I read the formus here first and the one thing I did was pick up the Wyeast 3068 smack pack. It's my first brew so I also wanted to follow the...

Sanitizing Gaskets for Swing Top Bottling

I made the mistake on my first brew and left the entire gasket/clasp assembly in my mixed starsan for too long. I bought the EZ cap bottles brand new and they were not attached to the bottles, that's why I did this. But because it was my first time bottling they ended up there for over an hour...

Brew House Prairie Wheat Beer with Orange Flavor

Yeah, the more experience I'm having with this kit and the more I read on the boards, the more I realize the instructions are useless. As long as this first beer is drinkable I'll be happy. At least I'm getting a lot of experience out of it. Was thinking of picking up a Cream Ale Brewhouse kit...

Brew House Prairie Wheat Beer with Orange Flavor

Thanks for the update! Just tranferred my Brewhouse Prairie Wheat to the secondary. It's my first brew and didn't work out exactly like I thought. I used the entire 8 liters and SG was 1.042. I also used Wyeast 3068 but without the starter. On day 4 I couldn't keep my hands off it and...
