    Your in San Diego, try Stones IPA. If you don't like that then your really don't like IPA's. I love them but hate wheat beer. Wheat beer tastes like bananas to me which I can't stand.

    don't know the specs on the banjo but I have one and it gets hotter than $hit. think I payed $70 or $80 from brewmasters warehouse.

    march pumps can take the heat. Kettle > Pump > Chiller--conical--pitch yeast --ferment--keg--drink--done.....

    Dry is easier. But I'm also lazy. I don't even rehydrate.(too much work)

    I wish I would receive ONLY beer for gifts. If I really wanted any of the other crap people got me I would have already bought it myself. If the thought counted they would have bought me (good)beer:drunk::drunk: Yeah, I'm a a$$hole.

    Yeah I got a March pump. It took me a while to get it positioned properly but it works great now.

    I usually get to 167F turn the flame off stir my grains in the temp usually goes to 155F and recirculate for an hour and then turn the flame back on to mash out. never had a scorching problem. I'm to lazy to step mash, but I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

    Got a pic? I have a direct fire RIMS and don't have to run the fire that much. Never had a scorching issue.
