    HB Citra single hop IPA. Same grain bill/yeast as the Idaho 7 (above), and a Bru-1 that I brewed.

    HB Idaho 7 single hop IPA. Just got done traveling for the week and had some nice east coast beers. This is as good as any of them (if I do say so).

    Day after Fathers Day still the weekend? Brewing a clone of Shy Giant IPA from Fernson Brewery in South Dakota. Used to be distributed here in Omaha but not anymore. Mosaic and Huell Melon, then dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra. The brewery website says they use Belma hops, but local shop didn’t...

    Outside of taking sips from my dads’ Pabst Blue Ribbon as a youngster in the 70s, first teenage beer was Blatz.

    What are you drinking now?

    Going with a series of single hop IPAs this summer. Just bottled my Idaho-7, Citra in the fermenter and this is the Bru-1. Needs a bit more time for carbonation. All same grain bill - pretty basic 2-row with 5% rye and flaked oats. Used dried Kviek yeast - which is my go to yeast in the summer.

    Summer is starting today and will be in full force next week with triple digits expected. Keeping the NA going for a while until I restock my HB coffers.

    Last summer was my WCIPA summer - this summer is my single hop summer. Brewed with Bru-1 last month and today is Idaho-7 followed by a Citra next weekend. Same grain bill and yeast for all.
