    Does overpitching mitigate hot fermentations?

I'm not sure how reliable it is, but over pitching certainly will reduce esters. Not sure how hot you can really go with it though before problems arise. brulosophy.com has an experiment fermenting Kolsch yeast hot at 70F (i think), and didn't get noticeably different character compared to...

I have not. I've got a lot of crap going on this week. Our club meeting is Saturday, so I'll have a better idea of how many bags we'll need then and get the ball rolling monday or tuesday I suppose. Feel free to call them and get it going if you want to head it up.

Georgia Various: Keezer shell, Johnson controller, stainle fittings, faucet

Controller is single stage, cooling only. It's the bog standard Analog Johnson sold on all the big homebrew shop websites.

Georgia Various: Keezer shell, Johnson controller, stainle fittings, faucet

For Sale or Trade. I have a 7.2 cu. Ft. Chest freezer with a collar built on it. Ready to be built into a kegerator. There's no plumbing in it right now, so I'm just selling it as is. You can outfit it how you want. It will hold 4 pin or ball kegs with a 5# co2 (maybe 10#) or 3 pins with 20#...

    ECY Bugs

I'll try to remember you next time I'm planning a trip to Asheville and maybe we could meet up and exchange some bugs. I've got a bunch of ECY stuff, and some other random dregs. I'm sure we'll be up there some time this year. Great city.

The price list you posted is not current. The most current one I can find is here: http://www.countrymaltgroup.com/downloads/Champlain%202013%20Price%20Sheets%20-%20Updated%202-11-13pdf.pdf That may also not be current, but even so, at your single pallet example that squeaks into the 2,000...

Those prices are without freight. GW 2row is $30/bag on that sheet. add some freight and a little profit and $37/bag for 2 row is right in line. Where are you buying it this cheap already?

http://www.wineworkshop.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/full-sack-grain-price-list-revised-2014-09-11.pdf That's what they can get mostly. They can get other things if you ask. Sounds like we can probably get to 20 bags which would get us the 10% discount. It's taken off of the prices in that...

My (small) club in west GA needs about 4-6 bags. I could possibly get a Wine Workshop order together if there is enough interest. Post # of bags you need.

    Lactose, really unfermentable?

Some Brett will. Not sure if all Brett will.

Which single tier rig would you go with???

I'm an electric guy. I would build more-or-less the rig I have which is a single tier, electric fired boil kettle with two pumps and a plate chiller. Any plate chiller with mounting studs can be mounted to your stand, that's the easy part. I recommend the Duda Diesel B3-23A 20 plate or larger...

    Ganging regulators

There are all kinds of thread sealants available at the big box hardware store. There's one that's a paste/goo that's either teflon or silicone based that a lot of CO2 manifolds are assembled with.

    Oxygenation wand in the fermenter

At least you are going to want to boil the stone end. I suspect once you get it nice and hot you will also want to try to push some star-san through it. Don't try to clean it with anything but no-rinse sanitizers because you might not be able to rinse it all out. In any case you're probably...

Bottling with the Help of Dry Ice

Penguin Brand Dry Ice would disagree. This is the brand that is sold in most grocery stores and their website actually provides recipes and the like for using it in cocktails and punch. http://www.dryiceideas.com/more-safety-tips-for-using-dry-ice-in-beverages/ Also, FAQ says it's not...
