    Heating element internal ground

I've taken mine apart before to inspect. That is definitely broke. Without a ground, the GFCI protection that makes electric brewing relatively safe will no long offer any protection. It must be tossed and replaced.

How to Mount Panel on Brew Stand

I used an old tv mount like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WYVBR0/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I attached to a wall, but i see no reason it couldn't attach to your stand. It does easily move in/out and can be angled up or down to.

Cider to keg to carb then sweeten to bottle

I tried the bottle pasteurization route. To many cases of bottles exploiding leading to nightmares of one blowing up in my face. People have success with it, but not me. I used it as an excuse to convince myself and my wife to spend a few hundred bucks and invest in a kegging setup. Way cheaper...

    Coleman 50qt Mobile Cooler Kegerator

I bought 3" shanks, with the anticipation of cutting to size. I cut off about 7/8" and still have a quarter inch to spare, so a 2" should work. I also used 90 degree tail pieces to avoid pinching the tube. The kegs sit very close to the front of the cooler because of the wheels, so it is all...

    Coleman 50qt Mobile Cooler Kegerator

Inspired by the build in this thread, I built this using a 50qt Coleman cooler and two 2.5 gallon AIH kegs. I had to cut a little bit of the lid with my multimax, but everything fit great after that with no mods to the kegs. The 20oz co2 tank is floating in there right now. I'll build a...

    TC size for elements

I have 1.5" on mine. Getting the rippled element in and out isn't a problem. It has the advantage of being able to be put ever so slightly lower in the kettle, which is a plus. I recommend the elements with integrated TC fitting and removable plug, like the one sold over at brewhardware.com...

    recirculating counterflow chilling water?

What I sometimes think about, and wonder if anyone has tried, is creating a closed system for reusing chiller water. Basically, two 30 to 50 gallon barrels. To chill, pump water from tank A, through chiller, and into tank B. The water in tank A would be ambient temp. B would fill with hot water...

    Cheap sanitzer in bulk?

Glad to hear starsan lasted this long for you two. I bought a 32oz bottle over a year ago on sale, thinking it was a deal. I don't know if I waste less than I used to or what, but I've only used about 5 oz of it so far. It'll probably be 5+ years until it is gone. I was worried it wouldn't last...

So... What did Santa bring you?

A new mini-fridge that I can use as a second fermentation chamber. I knew it was coming since I helped pick it up, so I already order parts to built another brewpi for it.
