    Game of Thrones

I really liked the episode too. A little surprised they wrapped up the Night King, but there's only 3 episodes left. I would have ended the episode at the moment he grabbed Arya by the throat! Glad they didn't though . . . I'm also glad there wasn't much of "zombie characters" in it. There...

    Game of Thrones

I feel like the table was set for a lot of people to start dying next week . . .

    Game of Thrones

They set the table nicely. Nothing much happened, but I suspect that'll change soon!

    Game of Thrones

We can't probably watch at 8:00 due to kid's bedtimes. But I'm going to DVR it and watch 15 or 20 minutes later. I'm probably going to Tivo two recordings just in case something stupid happens ;)

    Kegging and Transport

Good luck. I brewed and brought 3 kegs to my wedding. Letting it set overnight really helped the crap settle out. I was surprised how much came out in the first few pulls.

If you love something let it go, and if it comes back, it was meant to be?

    How to avoid a BMC-lite

I tend to just not be a dick and drink the beer somebody has bought for me. :D

    How many paper towels

I don't use that many paper towels when brewing but I usually end up soaked from head to toe by the time I'm done. Usually just water, not wort, at least.

    This for real?

At first it seems really stupid to me. But I agree with @balrog that guys do shake and roll the kegs already. So this isn't entirely different. In my work we'll often times buy and install "vibrators" to help tanks and bins empty out completely. And the "vibrator" jokes haven't gotten old in...

    Parents who brew...

I haven't brewed since April 2015. I did three batches. Daughter #1 born in May 2015. Things evened out and was going to get back into it and Daughter #2 was born in May 2018. #2 is easier adjustment for us, so I'm hoping to brew relatively soon. Though it's likely going to be a day off...

    Home Brew Podcast???

I like Basic Brewing Radio by James Spencer. I don't listen to every podcast, but I have learned from it. I also subscribe to Good Beer Hunting. It typically features a brewery that they talk with. I don't listen to every one of it either, but some of them have been fun. The last beer one...

Brand New! How do I start?

I started with an equipment kit from my LHBS and it came with a bucket to ferment in. Which was fine for starters. I think I also used an extract kit from them (but can get anywhere), which i'd recommend for a beginner. No need for a mash tun or bag or anything else. You have your whole...

Funny things you've overheard about beer

But think about all the money you'll save by not going to breweries if you own your own!

Funny things you've overheard about beer

The Man Code requires you to agree. "Oh yes, LOTS of money" should have been your reply! ;)

    Beer from Wisconsin to Dallas

I was going to suggest Decorah Iowa also. TG and Pulput rock are both outstanding. The AB Tour in STL is good, even for women and children. Otherwise, check out this site, helps you plan you beer road trip http://www.brewerymap.com/#t=r&from=appleton,+wi&to=dallas,+tx&d=25

Should I convert my fridge to kegerator ???

It depends. Do you need a ferm chamber? In my setup, and in my climate, my basement stays farily cool. Cool enough for ales, at least. So I turned my old fridge into a kegerator. But if you're needing to control your fermentation temps, do that. I just bought a mini frige for something...

Are you a politician? You sound like a politician. :D:

Most annoying response when you tell someone you're a homebrewer?

I hadn't beer brewing long and brought a 6 pack of homebrew to a friend's for July 4th. Drank 4 or 5 . . . straight from the bottle. . . . I have never drank Homebrew straight from the bottle since. Rarely drink commercial from the bottle since :(

Multiple picnic tap serving at party..

I was curious to see how this worked. Any assembled pics? I'd think the picnics would be kinda cockamamie. The few parties I've served at we just laid the picnic taps on top of the kegs. But it was a pretty informal affair. We served homebrew at our wedding and just kept the kegs in the...
