The unoficially official new beer style "Lawnmower beers" thread!

I must have made 20-25 gallons of lawn mower beers last summer. I played around with a couple use simple pilsner malt and magnum at 60 to give it 12-20ibu's. This recent batch I wanted to go for a quasi-coronaish summer beer. I used pilsner, instant rice and 1% of C60 just to get the color...

    Pilsner hops

Well, I made a simple light lager last weekend. A 10 gallon batch using 2oz of hallertau at 30 min so we'll see how it turns out.

    Pilsner hops

I've been tweaking my house Summer Pilsner recipe. Made a great Saaz hopped pilsner and this year I believe I'd like to play with some tettnang and mittlefruh. I use all mittlefruh in my Oktoberfest recipe but I'm wondering how it would be in a simple pilsner.

    pale ale too malty

SN's Resilience IPA recipe uses about 10% of C60 and that's a great recipe. I'd also suggest to look a your water chemistry and see if that may have anything to do with it.

My German Pils tastes like a Helles

Same questions here, freshness of hops, hopping schedule and AA of hops used. Also, did you do a 60 min or 90 minute boil?

    Frigidaire mini fridge FFPA4422UM

I love that the cooling plate isn't visible. I feel like that's a huge space saver with this fridge. If mine ever goes, I'll replace it with this one.

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

Did a closed transfer tonight. Final gravity was 1.012 for a 6.3% ABV! Hydrometer sample tasted great so I’m excited to see how it’ll be with some cold conditioning and a few days to finish up carbing. I’ll try it this weekend and see how it’s coming along .

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

I'll be kegging my batch on Wednesday and I should be able to have the first couple of pints on Friday. I pressure fermented around 9psi. Should just transfer and let it sit for a couple days at serving pressure to finish up carbonation.

    My First RO brew

I love BrewFathers water chemistry calculator. You plug in your recipe and what sort of ppm mineral amounts you want to be around and it'll tell you how much to add based on your grain bill and water amounts. If you're doing all Centennial, you might want to have a look at Northern Brewer's...

What is your cutoff time of day to start brewing?

I'll brew whenever I can, however if it's towards the evening, the latest I'll start is 7pm. My brew day is about 4 hours so if I can finish with cleaning before midnight, It's a win. Otherwise, brewing 6-7am is great so that I'm usually done by noon and can crack open a beer to celebrate a...

    Cold IPA

I legit thought it was a typo, and maybe meant Gold or Golden IPA. I will say it does sound interesting.

    Less Salt for Long Boil?

So, to piggy back...when figuring out ion concentrations, say...in the mash....does it take into account the boil or is it strictly the mash?
