Any Lallemand Philly Sour feedback or experience to share?

Love the faux Berliner I made with this strain, though head retention is very average. Anybody else had issues? It’s not a huge deal really but would like it to be better if possible Damn iPhone

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

] Ithink it’s the best uk dry yeast I’ve used by far, and is on par with 1469 West Yorkshire in terms of quality of flavour. The APA is nice, but I will be using it in British styles from now on.

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

I’ve made 2 beers, 1.036 bitter, down to 1.008, and an APA 1.046 down to 1.009. I mash low on all my beers.

    Omega Lutra yeast?

My first lutra beer is a bit yeasty. I did keg it on day 5 though, which was a bit silly. I like it, I find some very mild esters but otherwise clean. Will definitely use again though I’ll try to ferment lower and definitely leave it longer before kegging. My fermenting fridge is getting a bit...

    Nonic Glasses, Imperial Pint

During lockdown here in Australia, I thought it would be funny to order some corona pint glasses. I bought some from an Australian site but only realised later they shipped from the US. Shipping was not cheap! To make it worse, when they got here i realised they weren’t an imperial pint, double...

Anyone have experience with Imperial G03?

I love 029, I use it very often but I never get any kolsh like flavours with it. I normally ferment around 15c/60f and I find it super clean. Do you need to do anything to promote the white wine flavours?I use 2565 when brewing kolsh

    Dry Belgian Wit yeast

I have a wit just about ready to keg that I used the lalbrew dry wit yeast with. I’d normally use 3944 and am hoping it’s at least as good. I really like 3944

    Kviek, any disadvantages?

You have to drink your beer quicker to make room in your kegs? Seriously try them, they are really good.

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

I agree totally. It’s a great yeast, over the years I’ve used a lot of different UK strains and apart from 1469, this is the perfect balance of being easy to use while having tonnes of character. Carbing up an APA tonight and looking forward to trying it

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

This is best bitter I’ve made in a long time, love this yeast!! Drinking through my nitro tap, awesome. Will buy more of this yeast for sure. I’ll be kegging a Columbus APA with this yeast tomorrow.

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

International Pale Lager Australian Lager - Scorpion Lager

I just did onevwith WLP San Fran yeast fermented at 10c. Really really good, not as dry as the danish lager yeast but it was very clean and crisp. Myself and 2 mates finished the keg fairly quickly. I’d use San Fran again. Actually a double batch split between the danish lager and San Fran would...

Mashing dark grains and Crystal Malts - issues?

I’ve been adding dark malts at the end of the mash for many years. I find the beers much smoother. If you like intense roastiness you may have to add more, but I’m happy with how they taste, and it’s easy to do, so I just do it

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

I have the same thing with the APA I dumped on the cake. Wasn’t sure the dry hops were going to get through haha

    Recommend a clean house strain

I’ve only done one lutra beer and I agree so far. However I will try again and give it a week in secondary before kegging. My first blonde with lutra was kegged on day 5 and still has a little yeast bite. My fault so I’ll try it again

    Recommend a clean house strain

WLP 029 German ale Cleanest strain I’ve used, let’s hops shine and high attenuation. My house strain for blondes and hoppy pales. I have used it for stout with great results

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

I tried the gravity sample on an English bitter with this yeast today, very impressed with it so far. Throwing a Columbus APA on 1/3 of the cake and am excited to see how they finish up in the keg/bottle. The bitter will go on my nitro tap and I’ll keg the APA
