I've been waiting to do this build and finally found a freezer. What is the link to the current ebay item so i can get my purchase on and start another project that SWMBO will have to tolerate.
This was my first all grain beer and the first using a wort chiller. Not only was it the clearest beer Ive made by far but it is very delicious and easy to drink.
2 thumbs up from me

whoops! Missed that post for some reason. Thanks for the info. I'm going to try and find a corona mill for cheap until I can afford a 3 roll mill.
Thanks everybody for the help.

I don't have a lot of spare cash right now and was wondering if this is an acceptable grain mill.

Update: I ended up putting 2 vanilla beans soaked in about 3 ounces of bourbon. I can't really taste the bourbon but the vanilla came through nicely and is not overpowering
I'm sure there have been tons of discussions on what to use or what is the best but could someone put a link to these? I am tired of getting roughly 65-68% eff.
Thanks,
Reza
I have a half pound jar of Creamed Honey and was wondering what type of beer it would be good in. It tastes real good and I would want to impart that flavor in the beer. any help would be appreciated.
Ok so this is what I think now after hearing everyone.
RDWHAHB but if you tip your primary too and fro it's not recommended but there shouldnt be a problem just don't do it in the future.
on the same note if you do swirl with the lid on wouldn't the co2 be the only thing to touch the wort?
I have never messed with it until after at least 7 days. The first batch I did was an EPA from brewer's best and it said to primary for 7 days and secondary for 14 days. I never took a reading and followed directions.
Second batch I primaried for 2 weeks and secondaried for 2 weeks so I...
Thank you very much for the quick reply. I ferment at room temp 63-64f and this is my first ag brew. Regardless I have gotten the ants out of my pants as to waiting around. This brew will ferment for 3 weeks in the primary and then bottle condition for 3-4 weeks. ( as long as the hydrometer...
Shake your primary on tuesday if you pitched on saturday evening?
If that is not ok how much shaking is acceptable?
I seem to not be hitting my target and was wondering if rousing the yeasties after a couple of days would help.
The volume has subsided but the tenacity of the smell has worsened. If SWMBO makes me real mad I may just make some chili to go with my homebrew this weekend.
