New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Have you dared to use Galaxy, Vic Secret, and Sabro in one batch?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Yeah, I couldn’t agree more. I used 12 oz in a 5 gallon batch and didn’t get what I wanted out of the hop. I will have to try Sabro some time.

Spike CF5 vs CF10 for 5 gallon batches.

The five brews I have done in my cf5 I used the barbed TC fitting then switched to the gas manifold. I could probably just use the gas manifold with a blow off attached throughout.

    Hot Head yeast (omega)

Brewed an 8.2% Brut with Hothead. Yeast worked fine at 90f. There is a bit of a flaw in it that I just can’t quite figure out, but all in all the yeast was great.

    Is this infected

Love the weights on your BMB lid. If I were still bottling I would wait a week. It may take some time for the yeast to eat the new food source you created. Better to be safe and wait, then to have bottle bombs.

Filling Torpedo keg for fridge from 5 gal kegs

@snarf7 Essentially it is a pressure relief valve that you can set to a certain pressure. When moving carbonated beer you want a certain amount of back pressure in order to reduce foaming. If you 5G is set at 12 psi, you want your 1.5G to be just under that, say 11 psi. The spunding valve...

Filling Torpedo keg for fridge from 5 gal kegs

I can spend your money for you... You just need to use a closed transfer process: Hook up CO2 to 5 gallon keg. Put a spunding valve on your 1.5 gallon keg. Connect out post to out post with a jumper hose. Start transferring. Just keep your 5 gallon keg pressurized with CO2, that’s what...
