Bottling a NE style IPA/Pale Ale

With my Fermonster, I was essentially fermenting in my bottling bucket. If I were you, place your bucket where you intend to bottle a few days prior to bottling. Set a block under your bucket on the spigot end. This will keep most of the debris away from your spigot.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Did a smash NEIPa with Rahr 2 row and citra pellet and cryo. Had been brewing a lot of southern hemisphere hopped beers recently and kinda wanted to do an OG brew. It turned out real nice: tons of citrus, some dank, and some grapefruit rind.

I will have to look for citra daydream and compare it to my citra NEIPa. Is 1318 and A18 the same? I thought I read some where here that their isn’t an equivalent to 1318. Maybe @Northern_Brewer can point me in the right direction. I need to try different yeasts is what it boils down to.

Anyone feel that 1318 overpowers the hops? Been using it for a while now and having some Other Half sprinkled in over the past few months, I feel like I am muting my hops.

What’s the best grain mill for the price?

I have a Kegco 2 Roller(KM7GM-2R) that I bought for right handy to $100. It has lasted for several years and several hundred pounds of grain.

    Wanting to switch to electric

Interested to hear what everyone says, as I am in the same boat. What doesn't the SS Brewtech not offer? A pump and "bag"?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I want to run a question by you folks. I currently have a NEIPA with 1318 going fermenting out. Its in a CF5 and am thinking about racking my next brew on top of the current yeast, once the current batch is kegged. I have not dry hopped yet, but am planning to "bag" them in a stainless hop...

I added the honey for flavor and points. I added it at flame out, and it did something to the beer. The mouthfeel is drier to be expected, but you can still taste a hint of honey. It is subtle behind the hops, but it is there. My In Laws also produce honey and my FIL asked if I used it in...

Spike Conical- observations and best practices

@orono Go with 2 cf5 if you can afford it. I love my cf5 and try to brew every three weeks, trying to keep the cf5 working at all times. With 2 cf5s you could always brew a ten gallon batch. From what I read you like variety, so go with 2.

I’ve probably used 10 lbs of Galaxy in my brewing life, and tried a pound of Enigma, but all I could get was Jolly Rancher red out of it. I have a cf5, but still rely on the ambient temp of my basement for fermentation. Temperature control is something that I work around, usually by cold...

Never liked using Galena, I got some citrus out of it, but mainly it just made my beers bitter no matter where I put it in the hop schedule. Could also be that commercial Galena is better than my homegrown Galena.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I haven't brewed a batch in a couple months due to summer and seltzer water, but I'm looking for some of your opinions on a hop schedule for the hops that I have: 1 lb of Citra 2018 .5 lb of Mosaic 2018 1 lb of Galaxy 2019 1 lb of Vic Secret 2019 1 lb of Ella 2019 I have never used VS or Ella...

Had a pound of it last year and wish I bought Vic secret or Sabro for my experimental hop. When I single hopped it, I got red Jolly Rancher. I don’t get it either, but YMMV.
