    Reusing bottle caps?

No I never did ranch my yeast, is that the same as harvesting yeast? I guess yes. But can I do it with minimal equipment?

    Reusing bottle caps?

Finally, a really good question on this forum! Thumbs up! Well, as far as home brewing is concerned, here in Tunisia the only thing that is available is barley from the animal feed store and it stops there! ... Anything else that comes next in the brewing process I have to either make it myself...

Home brewing with home-malted barley without shaking out the chits?

Yes. I get one of those fans. You think using a box fan like this will dry the Malt? Don't I need a heat source to go wit it?

Home brewing with home-malted barley without shaking out the chits?

Hi there. Sorry for the delay, I didn't even get a notification for your response, sorry! I just moved to a new apartment which has an oven that goes down to 122F. But, I am afraid of using it because, in my old apartment the oven was giving wrong temperatures I guess and it smoked out the...

    Reusing bottle caps?

Hi. Not yet. I mean I still have some but I will need to use green soda bottles I guess. Next time I travel I ll just have to buy a larger quantity of caps. It feels like I am stranded on an island when it comes to home brewing. Thanks a lot.

    Reusing bottle caps?

Still does not make any sense. Filling out the location would not help at all. USA is not the only place on earth where you can get home brewing supplies. So you want to tell me that if the same question came from Serbia, Italy or Germany you would have had a different answer for them... They do...

    Reusing bottle caps?

The problem is not me not mentioning my country. The problem is judgemental people's comment that are fueled by simple lack of knowledge... Aka ignorance. People should not jump to judgment, they should just answer the "simple" question...

    Reusing bottle caps?

Home brewing with home-malted barley without shaking out the chits?

I use a rigged up drier with light bulbs. I guess I could use 3 light bulbs instead of 4 if 120 is too much.

    Reusing bottle caps?

Hey! I sometimes buy plastic soda bottles, empty them and use them, because their caps seal better than those of water bottles. But I leave that as a last resort really. I prefer glass plus it does not look good when you give a home brew as a gift in a soda bottle. About my other post. I think...

    Reusing bottle caps?

Home brewing with home-malted barley without shaking out the chits?

For my malting process I have been following this link http://beersmith.com/blog/2009/12/05/malting-barley-grain-at-home/ And it clearly says (in Finishing the Malt step) that after drying the grains I have base malt similar to what is sold in stores. Further steps with higher temperature are...
