    Megapot 1.2 thermometer question

I have a megapot but the 8 gallon version for 5 gallon batches and my wort chiller goes in there just fine. Do you have a homemade chiller or something you bought commercially, why would you think it wouldn't fit? When I get home I can take a look at my pot but I don't think it sticks out more...

Can you cold crash too long?

No you are fine. Think about lagers (cold storage) they leave beers at those temps for months.

    Video Games

Plants v Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has got me straight addicted. Can't get enough. Ive collected all the golden gnomes and snow globes, ive opened up the 50 rainbow star chests, unlocked a lot of characters, beat both campaigns for plants and zombies, and there is still more to do! There is so...

    Outdoor brewing

I live in Texas so I know a little something about heat considering its only 75 degrees here approaching Jan. You need to go ahead and purchase a swamp cooler you can get them at most hardware stores or order it online. Also start first thing in the morning so you are done by 10-11am if you...

    Outdoor brewing

Read the "don't do that" or the confession page if your feeling guilty about your sanitation practices. It will make you feel better and you will realize that yes beers can get infections but they are a lot more durable then I think most people lead on. Some people with horrible sanitation...

    Outdoor brewing

I brew outside exclusively and I keep the lid off while cooling never really had an issue. Ive seen a grass blade hit the wort and it survived I simply just pull it out with some sanitized spoon or something. For cooling I have plate chiller I just hook up the water hoses and use the ground...

    Beginner questions

No secondary, and really its hard to say if you will like the kits are not b/c everyone has different taste. However, they are popular so I imagine your odds are good on liking the flavor of the beer.

Canada Dry Clone -- Please help

The soda took about a month or so to drink, overall the friends and family who tried it enjoyed the flavor some more than others naturally but I would do this again.

    Skimmer Mash Paddle

Ive used something similar to that while cooking fried foods. Does it have enough weight to stir a pot full of grain?

Canada Dry Clone -- Please help

I would say the ginger flavor was still stronger than your usually Canada Dry can but overall its not so much ginger its spicy or overwhelming. When I make it again I would do 25% less ginger and I think it will be a lot better for me.
