I would think the hops will now bitter the beer more and give a little less flavor and aroma. It looks like that kit only has 1oz of hops so it probably wasn't going to be very hoppy anyway. I'd guess you'll still get good beer. I've seen some American Browns that even dry hop, so you might...

My bottling bucket has too much headspace so i never tried it. I would use a carboy if lagering for a long time. The buckets are great, but i would worry about the plastic allowing oxygen in over long periods of time.

The beer will taste fine. Flavor shouldn't be changed much one way or the other. The secondary might help with clarity, although the majority now seem to think the yeast will actually clean up after itself if left in the primary 3-4 weeks. I think you would be fine with out a secondary.

+1 Leaving it sit on that yeast cake for months might be a bad idea. I'd secondary it for a few months.

I learned not to use water from a garden hose for your beer on my first batch lol. It tasted nice and rubbery.

I base this on absolutely nothing, but i think you would be good to drink after 3 weeks unless it is a big beer that would normally require longer time anyway.

It sounds like it would work, but i would prefer not to delay drinking for an extra week if it doesnt make a big difference. So i think i will see how it clears up on its own before deciding if it needs it.

I have a Amber Ale going and i have seen some people talking about cold crashing. I live in Chicago so the weather would help with letting me try to cold crash it. Are the benefits noticeable? Or should i just primary for 3-4 weeks and then bottle?

I was battling boil overs like never before yesterday. I was spraying the foam with mist from my water bottle. Turns out that i grabbed my star san diluted bottle. I probably misted it with a good 5 oz of my mixture. What do you think this will do to the beer?

Thanks! I think i am going to go with the bucket. If the quality of beer is the same might as well go with the easier to use. Plus i can see the carboy drop being a matter of time lol.

Its 7.5 gallon pot. I have 6.6 pounds of LME and 1 pound of DME for my next brew.

The carboy is 6.5. Does one do a better job than the other? My next beer is a Amber Ale so it wont be fermenting for months.

My first two batches i did primary in the bucket and moved over to the carboy for secondary. Most of my reading on this forum says the secondary maybe introducing more risk than reward. When you are not using a secondary do you use the bucket or carboy for fermentation?

Is it better to start off with less water and add at the end or start off with a full boil? My pot is 7.5 gallons so it can handle the full boil and i have a wart chiller to drop temps quickly. What is best, the instructions on this kit are pretty bad.

If skipping the secondary and just bottling from the primary do you use the plastic bucket or the glass carboy as your primary?

Sorry if it sounds dumb but im new lol...wouldnt moving it back into the bucket still have the same amount of head space? The bucket is bigger than the carboy.
