    Don't forget to sanitize your strainer! I put a sanitized 5 gal bag in my funnel when draining brew kettle to carboy. If I dry hop I use a small sanitized bag. No more plugged keg pick up tubes.

    Propane plumbing help

    I used flare fittings on the copper tubing. Got the valves, orifices, burners and regulator from bayou. Got the manifold to tie it all together from McMaster. The top part of the orange paint is burnt to black now but it still looks ok.

    I bought the adjustable one and run it at 20 psi. I used 3/8 copper tubing for the propane lines.

    I use idophor. Easier on my hands and no foam. The foam is a pain! Be sure to give it two minutes to sanitize.

    Has anyone had problems with Bayou Classic Depot?

    I got all my brewstand parts from them over the phone and it was a good experience for me. I do think I left a message but they called me back and helped me select the right parts. Good Luck to you...

    I haven't melted anything yet but a heat shield would be a good idea. I have only brewed Three batches since building.
