    2 Row Malt - Canada vs U.S. vs U.K.

    This nutty flavor thing is interesting to me. Could one add say an ounce of Victory malt with the US 2 row and accomplish the same thing? Or is it a different kind of nutty? I've used Maris Otter, but unfortunately I'm new to all-grain and all my MO batches are in the primary or secondary.

    You would need to boil long enough to get a hot break. I would still hop both, since you'd get a better hop utilization. In fact, splitting up your batch this way requires you to hop both kettles in order to reach your target. Otherwise, in BeerSmith or similar, you need to change your boil...

    Double IPA versus Imperial IPA

    Its the same thing. Whether IIPA means Imperial IPA or it means literally double IPA as in (double I)+PA since IIPA has two I's. I like the latter, though many abbreviate double IPA as DIPA, also valid.
