    What are you drinking now?

Could we call it a lawnmower beer? It's only 9.7%.

    What are you drinking now?

Not a homebrew. Rather an Ommegang Barrel Aged Three Philosophers. Inappropriate glassware I realize.

QuickConnects or Camlocks for hot side?

Very curious how your manifold works! Photo/description?

QuickConnects or Camlocks for hot side?

Camlocks work for me. I have added enough valves to my 3 keg HERMs system so I don't have any disconnecting to do until after boil -that is transferring from boil kettle (keg) through chiller to fermenter. As easy as quick disconnects are regardless of type, it was a PIA and messy...

Who’s still brewing Belgian-style ales and what’s your favorite recipe?

Second on the Hennepin kudos. Though lately I have gravitated to Rare Vos. I have always wished they had a tripel in their regular roster.

Back to Brewing after 26 years

Glad you're getting back into brewing. Welcome On the maple sap front, I brewed a maple sap tripel a few years ago. I tapped a couple of trees in my so. VT yard. It was good but kind of sweet. Probably not the fault of the sap as it wouldn't add that much sugar. I think using sap sounds...

North American Oktoberfest vs German Oktoberfest

Can't add much except the year's Founders Oktoberfest German-style Marzen (15 pack of cans) was very disappointing. It had a heavy pilsener element on top of too much malty caramel. Normally I applaud "the 15 pack is the new 12 pack". Not this time

    Backyard Brew Shed / Bar

I have no good input other than it sounds like a great idea and where are you located? 3-4 season operation in VT or MN vs. AZ or FL for example might elicit different specs.

    Battery Powered Lawn Equipment

Stihl lawnmower. RMA 510. I bought a second battery which makes cutting any size lawn possible. That is the battery has enough time to charge while running the other. That said if you let your lawn get ahead of you the battery might not hold long enough to charge the other. Time to relax and...

    Cider Apples

Scott Farms in Brattleboro, VT is an amazing grower. They have at least 20 heirloom varieties through the Fall. I am going to get some cider from them this year to ferment. I have used cider from another great orchard in the area, Green Mountain Orchards. Their cider is made of more eating...

"Vinator" bottle rinser - Any good?

I meant "that one". Red/clear plastic one .

"Vinator" bottle rinser - Any good?

I use the Vinator for sanitizing and love it. It does spray pretty powerfully but with a relatively small fluid reservoir you would have to change out the water frequently if you were to use it as a rinser for cruddy bottles. I have that brass thing for rinsing but rarely need it because I...

    Favorite/Worst Cheap Beer?

    I second the Corona comment.

    Favorite/Worst Cheap Beer?

    1. Genesee Cream Ale (more nostalgia over taste). I'd have said their Bock but they don't make it anymore AFAIK. 2. Goebels-long gone and long bad. 4.99 a case as an underaged college student in 1988. Those old long neck bottles with the washer wear rings.

    Shirron Plate Chiller Failure

Wyoming and Twin Cities-thinking it had some water it it in storage, froze and cracked some welds.
