Home Brewing is illegal in Alabama??

I said "PUT anything into your own body." Not MAKE anything. I don't think you should be allowed to make meth in your own home, but at the same time, Locking people who do in a cage for 20-30 years isn't going to do them, or the taxpayers any good. Home distilling could be as dangerous as meth...

Home Brewing is illegal in Alabama??

If you want to live in a country that you call free, you have the right to put whatever you want into your own body, PERIOD.... I just wish some of these "Freedeom!" bumper sticker people would realize that.

Home Brewing is illegal in Alabama??

Nope, South Dakota. Oddly enough, I found out today that they just lifted that ban, and are currently rewriting it. So in the next couple weeks its gone! Hooray! Logic and Reason triumph once again!

Home Brewing is illegal in Alabama??

Yeah, I gave up on the church/religion thing a long long time ago. The vast majority of religious people I know don't actually follow the scriptures themselves, they just like to tell others what to do.

    "Beer Bottle Bender" noob advice.

Yes, you can buy the euro caps, and a special piece for your bottler, but thatll run you like 10 dollars! In this economy, thats like a down payment on a Ford, GM, or Chrysler vehicle! I know this is pretty much a pointless post, but I was pissed at my Amstel bottles and had to vent it someway! :)

    "Beer Bottle Bender" noob advice.

I am a newb myself, but no one told me this, and I just plain lucked out. Everyone will tell you that you need pop tops, and not twist offs, but no one told me that North American bottles cap differently than European bottles. So without this info, I went on my bottle collecting bender, and...

Home Brewing is illegal in Alabama??

Don't get me wrong, the less involved, in anything, the federal government is the better. In my state, it's just one of those ancient laws that no one really bothers to talk about. Everyone just kind of accepts it.

    Mexican Cerveza

Not true, the lime thing actually came from mexico, but the reason they use it is to keep the bugs out of the bottle on its long walk out to your beach towel. But yes, it is an American thing, I've bartended for quite a while, and people just expect mexican beer to be served with lime. Even...

What ever happened to beer balls?

Let's not forget that party balls are ideal for sneaking into dorm rooms... :)

Home Brewing is illegal in Alabama??

A great example in my state. We can't buy liquor or wine on sundays. Bars can serve them off sale though. A couple years back, New Years fell on a sunday, so they changed the law for that year only. Talk about grade A nonsense....

Home Brewing is illegal in Alabama??

The stupidity of this country never fails to surprise me. Making your own beer is illegal in one state, smoking a cigarette in your own home is illegal in another. The people in this country are always ranting and raving about freedom, but no one really seems to understand what that word means...

Anyone ever tried wormwood in their beer?

I saw in my brew shop catalog that I can buy an oz of wormwood for around 2 bucks. I was thinking of trying it out in a beer. Lord knows absinthe is fun, why not add some thujone to beer? Just wondering what type of beer people would recommend using it in.

how do I get those disgusting stickers/glue off my cornys??

I've read Amonia, or baking soda and water. Thats for commercial bottles though. Don't get me wrong, I am brand new, and my advice should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you out.
