    Quick Brew Question

I just went with the 1/4oz of each at 5 min. I didn't concern AA values since i was just going with Yoopers Recipie. I saved the excess hops in ziplock bags. Like I said, I have an Irish Red in primary (1 week in) and would love some more insight on dry hopping it. It was an extract kit from...

    Quick Brew Question

I'm currently 20 minutes into my 1 hour boil. I'm doing the Yooper's Dead guy extract clone. I have 1 oz perle and 1 oz saaz and the hop schedule is as follows. 1/4 perle @ 30, 1/4 perle @ 5, and 1/4oz saaz at 5. Instead of opening the whole OZ of saaz could I just use 1/4oz perle i have left...

    Wort Chiller options

Uhh I personally just move my brewpot to the sink where i bought an adapter to connect a 5/8 hose to it and that hose connects to my IC. The adapter was like $3 at Low's. Note: unscrew the tip of your facet and take it with you (the little part where the water comes out) and they have a thing...

    Behold! My new IC

I actually used one of those big pickle jars to get the spiral so straight and the rest with just a little bit of elbow grease. The 1\2' copper is generally pretty malleable. This made me LoL. :D

    Behold! My new IC

I made it from 50'' 1/2' from coppersupplies since it was only 40$ shipped! I have well water so my tap water gets pretty chilly. I didn't really keep time but no longer than 20 min from 212 degrees to 68 for 5 gallon boil. =D

    Beer flavored water

I'm curious about the answer to the wateriness. I know it's suppose to form body as it carbs, but really enough to make it not watery?

Good but Watery. Input needed for next batch.

lol, thanks for the reply yooper, and yea I get what you are saying. These are my first two brew kits i've purchased and rather than waiting 3 months to find out if i'm going to have a subpar beer I just thought i'd get some opinions. out of curiosity what are some recommendations for a...

Good but Watery. Input needed for next batch.

Should I order any additional ingredients for the Irish Red to buff it up or do you all think it should be just fine like it is? I like strong full bodied beer.

Good but Watery. Input needed for next batch.

Thanks for the fast replies. Yes it came with Malto Dextrin, but it was already added during the boil, sorry i forgot to mention that. You're saying it will become A LOT less watery when it's carbed? Perhaps i should just wait to brew the Irish Red kit until i find out what this one turns out...

Good but Watery. Input needed for next batch.

Alrighty then.. Here goes. I purchases a Scottish Ale Extract kit from Midwest. The kit (5 gallon batch) came with I believe was 3 pounds barley extract, specialty grains, brown sugar, and 1 oz hops added 30 minutes into the boil i believe. (i could tell you the exact details but it doesn't...

    Quick Craigslist Question

I can't for the life of me find out how to search my entire state for products on craigslist. It's craigslist.org correct? I'm almost positive I've ran across a link that searches the whole state, and not each specific city/zone. I live in Tennessee. Is this possible or was that a night of too...

    Propane Burner Temp Control Valve

Yes, Do let us know. This = me not having to brew in the kitchen. I wonder if it fits on other propane burners besides that specific brand. I don't recall what mine is.
