    Info to start a brewery

I was going to suggest a book called "Brewery Planner" published by Brewers Publications: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002L0ML0O/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 In it they have business plans and templates for financial statements etc. But I see it's currently not available on Amazon. Might try...

    HomeBrewTalk Patches Arrived!

I was thinking of getting this one from AHA. It's a light blue work shirt by Dickies and has an American Homebrewers Association logo embroidered on the left chest and BREWER on the right sleeve. Will probably sew the patch on the right sleeve or on the right chest opposite the AHA logo...

    Priming question

Yeah, I've done it that way many times in the past. You just have to make sure and mix it well with a sanitized spoon. Good luck!

    Priming question

I would siphon the beer into a bottling bucket that has volume markings on it and then add the appropriate amount of priming sugar for the amount of beer you have (and carbonation level for that particular style etc). Just make sure you stir it well without aeration to mix it in.

    Avery "The Maharaja"

I am eagerly awaiting bottle conditioning of a batch I made just over a month ago (I used the recipe in the July/Aug issue of Zymurgy. Same as whats posted in the links above). It was my first brew in a long time. This beer and my local liquor stores lack of availability made me get back into...

How old are you? How long have you been brewing?

33, started when I was 19. That's 14 years, but I've been on hiatus for the last 5 years or so and am just now getting back into it again.

    Brewing and Boots

Being in Florida, I usually wear sandals. But.... Just last night, I was installing a peg board behind a desk in the garage. As I was moving the desk back (mind you it has a lot of brewing equipment on it) my grain mill fell off. I, like a dummy, moved my sandal clad foot over to break the...

    New Magazine? Draft?

I think you are referring to the Nov 09 issue of All About Beer. There is an article called "Mythbusting the IPA".

    New Magazine? Draft?

I actually got something in the mail from them and also had the latest issue in a package from B3. I did subscribe for a year. We'll see ;-)

    Where do you buy Oxi-clean?

Lowe's and HD have larger sizes. I bought some a while back to clean our siding and still have a ton left over that I'll use to soak hoses and other brewing gear.

    Hello from Tampa, FL

Yep. First Tuesday of the month. http://www.tampabaybeers.org/. You have to go check out Dunderbak's if not for the great beer selection, the food is excellent as well. I am so craving some snitzel with spaetzel and red cabbage! hah

    Hello from Tampa, FL

Small world! HD was located in a small shop near Lake Ella at that time, but has moved a few times since then. Where is he located now? Last I saw the shop was in a strip mall off Mahan but I heard that he was moving again. I'll have to drop in the next time I'm in town and say hi.

    Hello from Tampa, FL

Thanks! I've been to SB twice now. It was a little hard to find at first because its in an industrial complex in the back. I really like the way that they have it set up. The grain bins are all numbered and ordered in such a way that you can easily find and weigh what you need. And you are...

    Hello from Tampa, FL

Great forum! I can't even count the number of nights in the past few weeks that I've been up until 4AM reading through a multitude of threads. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Brian and I'm currently living in Tampa, FL with my wife and two dogs. I cannot believe how time flies...
