Ive never done this but I really don't think its a good idea, even though it stainless steel, it can still "soak" up the grease and you will never get it out. I think it will just cause off flavors and kill the head retention.

I have not been to many other "beer citys" but I must say Asheville has an awesome beer scene. The craft brew scene has just exploded here and the city has taken well to it, I mean with like 11 good breweries in the city limits............... its pretty nice!

So after 5 days of being in the bottle I could not wait anymore, I chilled down my ipa and had one, Actually poured great with good carbonation and head retention. Taste was great! I know it will get better but I mean after 5 days, I was really really surprised! No real off flavors, very pleased...

it is electric, the way the burners are, I cant get on 2 at once. It really struggled to boil 3 gallons. I may have to consider something else.

I did have a little bit with 3 gallons, is it ok to boil 2 gallons next time?

It is the cup and the airlock that goes into the cup then the cap. How much of this should I expect? I thought it was cool enough......

Hey guys, put my ipa in the fermenter about 11 hours ago and the water in my airlock is somehow dripping back into the fermenter! Whats going on?

Also, I know you are supposed to keep the lid on during the boil, but my 3 gallons is taking FOREVER!!! Since it is not all grain, is this still true?

Hey guys, I am making my very first brew, I have a question, I used iodophor to sanitize before I started. Does this air dry or should I rinse it out with some boiled water or will a little left in the fermenter hurt anything? I am sure this has been asked but I cannot find the exact answer...
