    I made an oatmeal stout and added 5 oz. of ghiradelli chocolate powder. It has been conditioning for a month, so far I can't taste any chocolate, so evidently I didn't add enough. The mint is an awesome idea, I'm curious to see what comes out in this thread.

    7% ABV IPA... how many IBUs do you want?

    I made an 7% ipa a few weeks ago, recipe from my lhbs owner, it has 107 ibus. This was made to enter a local competition and won, now a regular beer for that particular brewery. It has 9 ounces which 2 were used in dryhopping.

    Feedback on Imperial IPA recipe (extract)

    Im still fairly new, but I think you need another ounce of hops maybe. I just made an iipa and used 9 ounces, dry hopping with 2. bottles it yesterday and it was amazing. Maybe another .5 at 10 minutes and .5 dry hopping.

    So me and my buddy were talking about doing some experimental brewing, and avocado and mango got brought up. Anybody had any experience with either of these? I know the oils will be an issue, can we get around that? I'm thinking about using a blonde ale or mild ipa to get started. Any thoughts?

    Lost water

    I brewed an extract IPA 2 weeks ago, started with 5 gallons of water, and used 7oz of pellet hops. I transfered it to my carboy where I am dry hopping with 2oz of leaf hops, but I only yielded 4 gallons??? I did not add water to top off to five gallons, what ways will this effect my beer?

    So I just made an oatmeal chocolate stout, and I have .5 lbs of black, chocolate, malted barley, and crystal 60. what should I make with these? Just add hops and do a stout, or what???
