I got the cheap starter kit and just went to wal-mart and got a cheap pot for 25 bucks I think. If you are looking for a one stop starter kit this looks awesome! Good luck and happy brewing!

60 min IPA

I am in lincoln. I have been brewing for a year and it is the best thing that has ever happend to me! I do AG and 5 gal. batches.

Starsan is expensive! I use a clean dish cloth and a little PBW. I dont scrub my bucket to hard to avoid making little scratches that bacteria could find and call home. Before I use it again another cleaning and Starsan right before the Wert goes in.

I have learned that you do not need a Secondary. I have also learned not to start a thread asking if I should use one.

I just did a brew with 2 big cans of pumpkin in the mash. I used 1 pound of rice hulls and didn't have a problem. It was not the fastest sparge I have ever had but it never stopped. Give it a good stir and have an extra beer. The beer turned out great!

The best beer I have ever made tasted awful before I bottled it. Bottle it and forget about it. Let it sit for 4 or 5 weeks, you will be amazed! Start planning your next brew!

I bottled my first few batches after 2 weeks and they turned out great. If your gravity reading is stable I think you will be fine bottling. However, if you could wait another week the yeast cells will clean up after them self and you will be really proud of the clear, tasty beer you made!

I think this is a stupid question but here i go anyway. :drunk: I just racked this beer into 5 pounds of peaches in my secondary and I had to have a taste! And it did not tast sweet or all that good at all. I know it is not supposed to taste that good but it tasted really alcoholic and...

I find im my 10 gallon drink cooler I can move my temperature prob around in the grain bed and find a temperature change of 4 to 5 degrees. I just try to hit the temp as close as I can have a brew!
