I worried about that as soon as I set mine up, so I bent the tube a little more than 90° so it shoots the wort on a little angle upwards. I can see a slight disturbance at the surface, so it seems to have worked well. The temp is also close to the same throughout. My tube only goes down about...

In my 2 kettles, my whirlpool arm is located at the top. Similar to this: http://www.bargainfittings.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=37&product_id=107 I think mine are both 12" long on each vessel (10g pot and a keggle), with just a quick 90° bend at the end. Not too fancy, but...

All around top notch! My go to site for ss fittings. Great (maybe the best?) silicone tubing too! I've recommended them to just about everyone I know that needs ss parts! :mug:

I use a propane torch at a distance, so I don't set the tubing on fire. Done in a couple seconds. I like to live dangerously. Fire. What's not to like? :ban:

I use FEDEX. If anyone asks, I tell them it's homemade "craft" soy sauce. When they ask about that, I say "I don't know. It's my wife's hobby." Vacuum sealed. Bubble wrapped. Never another question. Lol! Honestly, it works every time :mug:
