Setup my keezer and had a good amount of trouble getting the 3/16 beverage tubing attached to the back of the shank. It was just a really tight fit as I would expect but I could use a tip. Do you use any sort of lube to make it a bit easier? I guess soaking the whole tubing in hot water would help.

Thanks!

Yep, dip the tubing in very hot (near boiling) water for 30 seconds, then slide onto the barb. You could use a hairdryer and heat the shank/barb a bit too, if needed.

No need to use lube.

I use a propane torch at a distance, so I don't set the tubing on fire. Done in a couple seconds. I like to live dangerously.

Fire. What's not to like? :ban:

I use boiling water in a sauce pan, dip the tubing into it and slide it on with some force. I still use hose clamps, just in case, but they are on nice and tight when they cool for sure.
