    No-Chill in a bucket?

Safe transfer temp? what does that mean - through reading this forum (and one guy that's some plastic engineer or something) and plastic mfg sites, say that HDPE working temp is 212f. Couldn't I just let it come off the boil some and go straight to the bucket - isn't that what they do in...

    No-Chill in a bucket?

I'm looking into ways to conserve waste water and since it's quite warm where I live I've been looking at no-chill. Even with using a chiller I still have to wait till the next day to pitch as I usually can only get down to 95 (unless I spend a lot of time/effort/waste more water to...

    Gonna try no-chill...but questions

I’m thinking of trying no-chill as a way to save water, shorten the day, etc. Check me on this though... Can I do: 1) Whirlpool 2) Pump to corny about 4.5 gallons 3) seal corny and hit with 20 psi of CO2 to counter vacuum of cooling wort 4) next day pitch yeast in same corny, add fermcap...

Add Grainfather Connect control module to T500 version?

morebeer says it "Fits any Grainfather currently on the market" - but the currently on the market makes me wonder, since the old orginal ones without the connect module are not technically on the market. I've emailed grainfather directly as well to see what they say.

What's the Cooler that Works now for 2.5g Cornies?

did they lay the 5 gallon ones down on their side? How did they get that to serve properly if that's what they did. I haven't seen a cooler tall enough to hold a 5 gallon one - a trash can yes, but not a cooler

What's the Cooler that Works now for 2.5g Cornies?

Thanks - I was thinking it was more of a height issue....

What's the Cooler that Works now for 2.5g Cornies?

I thought I read that the igloo cube (rolling cooler) dimensions changed a few years back and now won't close the lid with 2 - 2.5g corny's in it. Is that true...if so what's the best setup now? I was going to simply put two in there with party taps, and run the CO2 line through a drilled hole...

Different Ball Lock Posts by MFG??

So the first 3 kegs I bought all were Pepsi stamped from the Cornelius company and had a smaller wrench size - Here's what they look like: Then I bought some 2.5 Gallon ones off a person the other day - they are A.E.B from Italy. Still ball locks, but I want to say the wrench size was 7/8"...

Ferment and serve all in one vessel?

This is good info....I hadn't read about fermcap before. So your saying I can still do a full 5 gallons, just don't seal it up tight with the spunding from the beginning? I was thinking of a long-tubed spunding....so that if any does get into the tube it's not up into the gauge or valves.

Ferment and serve all in one vessel?

Anyone ever tried this.... Ferment in the corny with a spunding valve (thinking fill about 4.5 gallons), keep a floating dip tube in it during fermentation and then when it’s done just hook the keg up to the kegerator. No racking or ever opening the keg? Does fermenting under pressure reduce...

Anyone use this as a Ferm Chamber?

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Idylis-7-1-cu-ft-Manual-Defrost-Chest-Freezer-White/1000196499 Wondering if it'll fit cornies without mods... Someone local to me has one that's not working (gets power but compressor doesn't come on) for real cheap...thinking of getting it to fixup.

1 Week into Fermentation - Move to keg for the next 3-4 weeks?

Normally I wait at minimum 2 weeks before pulling the beer out of the bucket - yes I use 7gal buckets for fermenting. Once the airlock quits bubbling for a couple days and FG has stabilized can I go ahead and rack to the keg and let it finish in the kegerator for the next 2 weeks under CO2...

    Anyone know what this is?

Oh - I got it in a bunch of stuff I picked up from someone on CL. What do you do hook it to your hose outside? I have no bottles to wash so it doesn't matter but was just curious how to use it.

What makes this an intertap only shank???

Well I went ahead and bought "regular" ones from you just a few min ago - I was the one emailing you about them and the duotight / EVABarrier tubing.

What makes this an intertap only shank???

Apparently it's the grooves on the duotight shank that makes it not work with a Perlick - https://www.reddit.com/r/Homebrewing/comments/douvks/warning_new_intertap_duotight_shanks_do_not_fit/
