    So who's brewing this weekend?

    I will be doing my first attempt at a Berliner weisse beer. 3 lbs 2 row 4 lbs wheat 6 oz acidulated malt. Boil 15 mins with .25 oz of centennial for 10 ibu' s with white labe Berliner weisse yeast.

    I started with extract to get my process down and once I felt comfortable with that I decided to go all grain.

    Any one else notice he sanitized every but the breath pump. If he is so anal why didn't he do that.

    I was told Belgians don't make real beer because they are to fruity. As the guy was pouring a Franz hefe dunkle. I will have to admit I giggled inside.

    I have heard of people steaming or baking the oak chips to Sanitize the wood.

    I ferment in 7 gallons buckets for 5 gallon batches and only had one batch over flow through the air lock. Still use air locks. It looks like the op was using a 5 gallon bucket that is the only time I would use one.

    I happen to have one in the fridge. On the back it says pure Munich malt with mt. Hood citrate and cascade hops hope this helps

    Home brew club question

    Bringing beer if you don't have home brew tobacco meeting is also being courteous. There were times that I didn't have any home brew when I went to my meetings. I just stopped by the store and picked up some beer and not bmc either.

    Racking

    If you want to clear your beer with out a secondary you can also cold crash. Which drops sediment and other things in suspension out of the beer. Do this in swamp cooler or fridge.

    I like saint Arnold's pumpkinator it is a pumpkin porter from a brewery in Houston but only available in a bomber.
