Show us your element housings/pots. How did you do it?

I'm using tank spuds from brew hardware with 5.5k LWD and a 4.5k ULWD from Ron's hardware and the 4.5k threads in 3/4 of the way before it's tight and the 5.5k gets just over one turn before its tight. This concerned me but once made my enclosure (which I hope to post pic of today) it didn't...

    Installing a water heater element

And this was/is my point, you can do what you want but if you're going to offer others advice, then simply state that they should only plug this into a GFI protected outlet, it is easy and FREE for you to write that and it is the right thing to be doing.

    Wyeast 3711 French Saison

I did a 10 gallon batch and split it, one's on 3711 and the other on a belgian strain from a local brewery. It's basicly a 60% pills 40% wheat and I did Citra at 60 min. ahtanum at 20mins for 45 IBUs and 3oz ahtanum 0 mins. I brewed it last weekend, I'll let you know how that comes out... I've...

    Installing a water heater element

Did you write that? If so, you need to add that the 20 amp kitchen outlet has to have a GFCI or some how there is a GFI inline for protection, don’t assume all kitchen outlet have this. I'd be more worried about that then someone voiding the kettles warranty... Other then that, it should...

Saison How Rye I Am (Rye Saison) - 2011 - 1st Place Best of Show - HBT Comp

Did you do a protein rest in the mash? Did you cold crash it before you racked to the keg? If you have small orange-brown chunks that look a bit like nerd candies I believe that those are proteins that coagulated when you dropped the temp. I think you can get this from some rye malts if neather...
