    Space Bubbles?

I've had the exact same thing, it probably won't taste sour yet, but as time passes it will get more and more sour probably to the point where it is absolutely terrible... drink it quickly (within a month or 2) and it won't get very sour, or wait...

Can I get some actual Oxiclean volumes rather than 'scoops'?

Hmm interesting, I guess I didn't realize that it was that unimportant how much was actually used, to within reason. I guess I will try the minimum on the label first and see how that goes (1/8 cup per gallon) The problem with the scoop measurement is that I am guessing that the scoop that...

Can I get some actual Oxiclean volumes rather than 'scoops'?

I've gone through dozens of Oxiclean threads on here and get hugely conflicting answers and almost everyone quotes the amount they use in in 'scoops' (as if that's some standard volume). My Oxiclean Free bucket I bought today (3.5 lbs) says 1/8 cup to 1/2 cup per gallon (too large a range for...

Can you Brew It recipe for Stone Arrogant Bastard

Also I believe if you listen to the Brew Strong hopping podcast they say that the IBU's that you will get using different formulas (usually Tinseth or Reiger I believe) or sending it to a lab will never be the same, and in fact may not even be close to one another; the point is is that as long...

Cinnamon sticks to cinnamon powder conversion

Hey I see a lot of recipes with the cinnamon in the recipe measured in tsp of ground cinnamon, I would like to make a beer with some cinnamon, but use sticks instead... anyone have any idea roughly how many sticks per tsp would be an equivalent amount?

Brewhouse Kits - looking for opinions and reviews. . .

I've used both several times and they are similar in quality. the Festabrew is easier to make good beer since it comes with good dry yeast and a full wort bag. But I have to say I like brewhouse better BECAUSE it only comes with 15L wort so I can modify it with specialty grains easier and tweak...

    Using Amylase Enzyme...

I used a half teaspoon in 5 gallons that was stuck at 1.042, and it brought it down to 1.022, they have been in bottles for 3 months now and there is no problem with overcarbonation... worked great for me... mine was stuck because the dry malt extract I was sold contained way too many...

Have you ever used one of these....

very few people have a problem getting their home brew warm enough, because 18C-28C is way to warm, you should be shooting for 16C-19C, check whatever yeast you are using for its ideal temperature

So I figure I drink 1100 bottles of beer a year

Well I actually figured it out the total number first and then divided by 365 to get a number near 3, just because I wrote 3 first doesn't mean I just came up with than number first. And yes approximations are all that is possible so it must be approximated.

So I figure I drink 1100 bottles of beer a year

I was also thinking about this, and lets say at 225 calories a beer this is 1100 x 225 = 247,500 calories definition of a calorie: -Unit of heat defined as the quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree*centigrade at atmospheric*pressure 1 gram of...

So I figure I drink 1100 bottles of beer a year

So I figure that I currently drink about 3 beer a day on average... this works out to approximately 1100 bottles of beer a year... call me crazy, how much beer do you drink a year? Figure it out if you have 20 minutes to kill. I realize that this is not necessarily a great thing, nor am I...

    Should I pour down drain?

yeah only dump beer under extreme circumstances (ex you found a dead animal in it)... your beer is likely fine and possibly even finished, it would help if you posted the kind of yeast you used and hydrometer readings are essential

    oops...left carboy uncovered

yeah seems like a VERY minor thing and probably not your biggest worry
