Strange Yeast Activity!
Some people use Starsan or vodka in the air lock in case it gets sucked into the wort it will not cause infection or off flavor. I usually use half water and half vodka. Leaves more vodka for drinking : )- idle

Using Wyeast Czech Pils for an IPA (warmer temp) ?
I'm ready to brew an Australian IPA but the yeast I was planing on using is ruined. The only yeast I have left is a Wyeast Czech Pils 2278 smack pack. This is meant to be fermented in the 50's. Has anyone used this yeast for an ale at warmer temps (approx 70F) or does anyone think I should...- idle
