Can you use a CFC without a pump? Just gravity drawing the wort down and into the fermenter?

Do you cold crash before transfer to dry hop keg? If so what temperature?

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

In the Lallemand video they speak of top cropping. I never did that before using Verdant. Now I do it all the time. This is so much better than collecting the slurry with all the dry hops in it. I’ve gone 6 generations this way with no issues. Love this yeast!

Primo RO Water Refill at Walmart

How does the water softener help RO waste water? I have been using the RO water refill station at the grocery because I don’t want to waste so much water at home. I do have a water softener (that waste plenty of water during regeneration), maybe this will change my position.

How to CO2 purge a BrewBucket

I was adding the dry hops near the end if fermentation but was getting hop burn. Also, FG was also low by 4-6 points. None of that bothered me much when making west coast IPAs but now trying NEIPA and I think that is where my biggest issue is. Was hoping to find a better way.

How to CO2 purge a BrewBucket

Been reading up on preventing oxidation. I want to try CO2 purging while adding dry hops to my SS BrewBucket. Would I blow gas up through the racking arm while I open the lid to add hops? I have the blow off attachment, do I blow gas in through that?

    Advice picking an IC

Ground water in Florida is never cool enough. I have a 50’ stainless and a 25’ copper that I got used off Craigslist in package deal with kegs, etc. neither works good enough. I tried using the 25 in ice bucket as a pre-chiller but found using both is series in the kettle works a little better...

Won $500 from a business competition, what would you suggest we spend it on?

SS fermenter, Brewbucket or the new Delta one. Starter keg system with picnic taps (cheaper and good enough to start). 5cuft chest freezer to ferment and 5-7cuft one for the kegs. I was able to get both the freezers off Craigslist before pandemic for 100. Fermenter ~200. Leaves about enough for...

I haven’t use Juice but I am using Verdant IPA which is a new derivative of 1318 also. I really like this yeast for NEIPA and want to make it my house yeast. I just did an APA with it and everyone loved it. It was a little hazy but family doesn’t take points off for appearance, lol. It ferments...

    First NEIPA. Feedback?

So I used one sachet. I rehydrated per the lallamond instructions. Recipe was as close as I could get to the Even Sharks Need Water from Verdant. OG was 1.067 5.5 gallons. Fermentation schedule was pitch at 64, rise to 66 until 1.030 then rise to 72. I top cropped yeast at 1.030. When Tilt...

    First NEIPA. Feedback?

@apache brew. Did you rehydrate the Verdant IPA yeast before pitching? Anyone else have experience with this yeast, pitch rate, rehydration, starter, harvesting, etc?
