Not sure what to do. I figured if it was bland I could keg hop but this crazy strong. Maybe adding kettle or whirlpool hops is a good idea to reduce some of the thiols. Right now I will let the keg sit and hopefully mellow out.

Kegged it yesterday, forced carved and just tapped. Not sure I am a fan of plain thiols… not at all what I expected. Smells and tastes like an armpit. I guess that makes sense based on where they got the gene.

I see several of the oxygen concentrators on Craigslist. Question, do those need to be sanitized or have filters, etc. replaced?

Thanks, I have done the same. Seems to work fine. I don't use much AA but I do dissolve it in a little hot water first.

How did you handle dry hopping and preventing O2 exposure?

Any idea what they did to balance it? What hops or where in the process they used them?

Any idea if the thiols from Halio Gazer would fill in for the Nelson? Planning out a couple brew for HG.

No mash hops. Just going to see what the malt and yeast do. I did use mash hops with Cosmic punch in the past.

This batch I am going no hops at all. Want to see what the yeast does. I guess I can add keg hops after I taste it.

Thanks for the reply. I guess it would take some experiments to see how much the boil off is. I guess another issue is cooling as my immersion chiller would not be very effective.

Other than a higher boil off rate is there a reason to not use a large pot? I have a 10 gallon pot. Been making slightly smaller batches lately and thinking of going even smaller. Also, I started fermenting in standard cornies. Any issue with fermenting only 1.5-2 gallons in a 5+ gallon keg...

Isn’t Lalbrew Koln an Ale yeast? How is that the same as a Lager yeast?
