I had thought of putting the pump lower than the pot and giving it a suck to prime, I bought a 100ml syringe for that reason. My concern Is that the pump might loose prime when pumping boiling wort. Is this actually something I need to worry about? Atb. Aamcle

I made one a few years ago from a car wiper motor an interesting project that gave me marginally better control but no noticeable improvement in the beers. I stopped using if as it was just more to clean and maintain. Aamcle

Good Morning All. If you have a gravity system do to drain the Boil Kettle in to the FV under gravity? Do you use a filter of any sort at the outlet to stop bits of hops or other crud getting into the FV? How do you stop the filter blocking and cutting off the flow into the FV? Thanks Aamcle.
