New brew stand: Long project in the making!

That was repurposed from a friend who works in the beverage industry. It came off of a syrup blender. He saw that piece and saw what I saw. Rims tube! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

New update: nothing to the actual stand, but here is the rims system for the big system. The control panel has room to expand for the future. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    RIMS vs HERMS...Your opinions please

You may look for a 21-26" 5500w 240v element and run it at 120v. It may be easier to find. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Heat Stick Power Cord

I built 2 1500w heat sticks for about $50 each. That's really about as cheap as you can do it without having a lot of the stuff already. I think it took me about 5 batches to recoup that cost of the build in saved propane, so depending on how you were brewing before you can save a good amount of...

    Star San

How many unidentified components are in a cup of coffee? Many people drink that undiluted. How many unidentified things are in the air we breathe? The point is that nothing is completely safe, there is risk involved in anything. If you don't want to risk using an approved food safe sanitizer...

    Heat stick question

1500/120=12.5 amps. That's above the recommended 80% for continuous use. It is possible, but could shorten the life of the breaker to which it is attached. Also, anything else on that circuit will most likely blow the breaker so make sure you single out the circuit. I run two 1500 watt heat...

Help me invent a rotating dry hopper

Ha! I don't know why but I read this as you were rotating the hops as you dried them. I was very confused about the whole thing. Proceed. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Help me invent a rotating dry hopper

Dry hops are extremely delicate animals. I think this would only end up making some lupulin dust and a bunch of loose leaves. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Thanks for the share. I was just wondering how to keep from looking like I got in a fight with a cat when I brew. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    poor bottle sanitation?

It sounds like it's gonna take more than 2 weeks to settle out. The only way to know if there is an infection is to open one, check for carbonation, and taste for off flavors. All we can tell from a picture through the bottle is that it has not dropped clear. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Not saying it won't work, just something to think about since ALL of the beer is going to be exposed to it. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
