BB dunkel: bottled for 10 days, no head very little carbonation. More time beeded?

Do higher gravity brews require longer time to force carb as well?

    Natural carbonating

IF I want to naturally carbonate with cane (table) sugar how much do I use? I read some where that you need less than bottling. If you use 2/3 cup for bottling how much do you use to keg?

    First time kegging

This is the first time using the keg and keggerator. I have a cheep fridge/freezer thermometer that I leave in the kegerator. I had the thermometer on the fridge floor, I tried putting on top of the soda keg and noticed it climbed a few degrees but not higher than 43. I think the keg is...

I see lots of people talking about nitro? By nitro you are talking about elemental nitrogen (N) and not nitrous oxide (N2O)?

First Brew - Second Rack Questions

I've had trouble with bungs/airlocks rising up and falling off of glass carboys when put in with starsan still wet. I started wiping bung and inside of carboy with napkin soaked in cheep vodka. Vodka helps remove the slippery starsan.

    Spices

When adding spices like cinnamon sticks at racking, how do you sanitize it? Can you soak in a few oz vodka? Or should I soak in campden and water?

    Apple mead

Going to rack a second time this weekend. Plan on adding a cinnamon stick on this racking. Is there any special way to handle the cinnamon stick? Should I soak it in vodka, or crushed campden and water? Or is the meads high ABV enough to protect from spoilage? OG 1.12 FG 1.005.

    Slowing Fermentation with Dry Ice?

Put carboy in trash can or laundry basket ( ones without holes), fill 1/2 way up carboy with water. Put small amount of sanitizer in water. Add frozen milk jugs of water. With 4 jugs you can rotate them out trading melted ones for new frozen ones. Would be cheaper than dry ice.
