    Cheap compact wort pump

I use a hops spider. My Tues brew day I used whole hops. Some fell outside the hop bag. Still had no issues pumping or whirlpooling. I only found the chunks of hops when I was cleaning up. Was actually surprised with the hops that came out. I put my garden hose and flush both ends and then I...

Currently I am using an IBM laptop supply I had lying around: 24v 1.5a. I am making an electric brew controller and I will have 2 of the speed controllers ect mounted in that box and run cords to my pumps and in that I have a 24v 8.3a unit similar to these...

Anyone has the 50a switched and interlocked one without a relay?

    Cheap compact wort pump

Why couldn't you just rotate your pump a little so the outlet is facing up, just have it pump up and over a little bend in the hose before it heads down. That is what I do when I pump from my HLT to my MT. Also when I pump from my MT to my BK. I use mine on a 3 tier gravity system converted to...

    Cheap compact wort pump

Never had an issue priming mine. The weight of the water pushes fluid right through as soon as I open the valve. Mounted direct to the valve I don't see how it could get stuck full of air. Mine are the 24v version though. Maybe a picture of your set-up would help.

Just finished welding up my new stand. Made out of bed frames again. 2 Stainless fronts from dishwashers and a scrap piece of stainless I had for the top. I still have to put wood on the bottom to have a place to mount my chiller and stuff. Getting ready for electric brewing.

Wire Diagrahm 1 PID 2 Element

So I may have skipped that step. I have 6 AWG all the way up to my panel because I have a 50 amp spa gfci breaker. In my panel I have 10 AWG inside because only 1 element can be on at a time. My thinking was 1 element should draw less than 25 amps so I can use 10 AWG. But if I am now...

Wire Diagrahm 1 PID 2 Element

Been going back and forth with adding the 2nd PID. Would have to cut 3 more holes in the panel (PID, SSR & Temp probe connection). Then I could piggy back off the power and neutral from one PID to power the new PID, un-chain the incoming power on the relay's from the SSR and power each from each...

Wire Diagrahm 1 PID 2 Element

Finished up my electric brew controller. I plan on running 2 heating elements (never on at the same time). 1 in the HLT that is controlled with the temp probe + PID and 1 in the Boil Kettle that is controlled with the PID manually. Each element is on an outlet plug. Each 24V Pump is also on a...
