    Question on cider with Nottingham

If you are adding sugar during fermentation, the ABV calc will be off wont it?

OK, so I made up my mind

Except you are leaving it that long, and extending the time until you can pour.

    Adding fruit while bottling

I have had a bad experience using extracts, but I know they are my best bet. If I blend up the raspberries and add some water and campdem I should not have to worry about infection. Sorry as I think out loud but I have the natural flavoring and I can add the extract to taste I should get what...

    Adding fruit while bottling

I brewed what was called a quick framboise. I added raspberries to the fermentation per the recipe. Question on cider with Nottingham

I have a simple cider going. It is made from raw apple cider, brown sugar and Nottingham. I need to backsweeten - swmbo - and I was wondering if I could use splenda without affecting the bottling. I am going to prime and bottle, just like I do beer, does this make sense? Also is using peptic...

    Redd's Apple Ale

I was disappointed when I tasted this for the first time. Does anyone have a recipe for a real apple ale. I make and drink lots of cider - I love apple and pear juice so it just seamed natural - and think this could be a good combo. Alternatively does anyone have a good ale recipe that would...

Convert 5 gallon recipes to 1 gallon

I am doing 1 gallon all-grain brewing. I would like to convert 5 gallon recipes to one gallon. Most of the Recipes are 6 gallon batches. I think dividing by 5 makes sense but want to make sure i shouldn't be dividing by 6. Thank you, Oddcarout

    1 Gallon Beer Recipes

I am brewing 1 gallon at a time. I see that recipies have batch sizes of 6 gallons, do I divide by 5 or 6 for one gallon brewing? Thank you, Zachariah
