What was the best beer kit (or recipe) you have made yet?

So far the best kit I've had has been the caribou slobber from northern brewer. Its an American brown and also a clone of big sky's moose drool.

    oxygenation system questions

Oxygen for medical use I believe has moisture in it but the kind from Lowes / home depot are only oxygen. I use the hardware oxygen and never had a problem. For sanitizing the stone I just put it in my star sans and then to clean I use pbw and never had a problem.

    Hop selection

Yeah the kit is just American amber ale and its pretty good. I dry hop mine to get more aroma but the kit is really good by itself. I do the all grain kits too so that's all I've ever had.

    Hop selection

Its a good American brown, but NB has a really good American amber kit too. That was my first kit. I'm brewing that one again soon.

    Addiction, obsession, or both?

I did the same as you did. Did it awhile ago then quit then came back to it. Lol did 2 extract batches then went to AG and haven't looked back since. I really love the ag process and I think your gonna too. To me, it makes better beer.

How did you get started homebrewing?

Me and a friend of mine we're under age and had some how had over developed tastes. So we decided to just brew our own. So we got a starter kit from ebay and a brewers best kit. Well that didn't turn out so well and then we just didn't do it again. So fast forward 7 years and then a co-worker...

Single WL vial for a 2L starter?

I wouldn't think you'd need to step it up. Just make sure all your sanitation is good and then just dump the vial in and throw it on the plate. How old is the vial?
