    Nice deal on Millar's mill

+1 for excellent mill. Stainless rollers, precision sealed ball bearings rather than bronze bushings, no Chinese garbage. Get it and enjoy.

Still attempting local sales first. I'll be in contact early next week with anyone that expressed interest in shipping. Thank you. So far, the refractometer is sold.

Maryland 20G Blichmann Boilermaker G2 Brew Kettle & More (in MD)

Heads up, everything is still available. I have a couple of folks interested in shipping if I don't sell locally. Also, if you buy locally and want to take several items off my hands, I'll entertain offers. Thanks!

Maryland 20G Blichmann Boilermaker G2 Brew Kettle & More (in MD)

I'm strongly motivated to sell this equipment locally to avoid any hassles and pitfalls associated with shipping. Having said that, and in the interest of clearing out space in my brew room, I am offering much lower pricing for those willing to meet locally in or around Baltimore. -Homemade...

Design This Beer: Green Tea Wheat

The title is my intention, perhaps in the vein of Goose Island 312 but with Gyorokuru Imperial tea added. Possibly candied ginger, too. I'd consider other beer styles but I think a wheat would really let the tea flavor shine and subdue its natural astringency and vegetal notes. For hops, I'd...

Petit saison with Mandarina Bavaria hops

Also, give us your intended fermentation schedule with temps. Saison yeasts love warmer temps, but with your smaller grain bill I'm not sure I'd push it higher right away.

Petit saison with Mandarina Bavaria hops

I'll throw my 2 cents in. I agree with Calder. Drop the Honey Malt, I don't think it will do you any favors in this style with that OG. Mashing higher as gometz suggested is a good idea for a saison. 152-154 is what I'd do. I don't agree with subbing oats for the wheat malt however. A...

    Diacetyl developing in the keg

He discusses how diacetyl can rear its ugly head and how diacetyl rests are a good idea for both lagers and ales. He really gets into some chemistry. I'd suggest getting a one year membership because the perks (discounts online, at your LHBS, and all-day happy hour at your local brew pubs) pay...

    Diacetyl developing in the keg

John Palmer just recently did a webinar that focused heavily on diacetyl. Check it out: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/archived-zymurgy-live/welcome-golden-age-brewing/

Who's Brewing for freedom this 4th?

Brewed AG Sip of Sunshine clone. Went great until the oxygen wand blew off into the carboy causing an immediate rack.

    Fear sells - The Vessi

While I get that it's a tad gimmicky and not to everyone's tastes, I got one and I'm pleased with it. Just finished up primary on a lager and now on my diacetyl rest before dropping temps for lagering. Yeah, it's pricey and you'll need other fermentation vessels, but it's nice and can handle...
