It comes that way. Yes, lol, if I have to extend or repair, I tie knots too!

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

First picture is just to show how fantastically coarse coconut coir is, in case you have not seen it. Hop bines really grip this. In the second picture, you can see where the coir is tightly wound, and appears thinner (both towards the top and bottom of the picture) but then it gets a little...

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

It is possible to use coir for several seasons. It is a precarious journey though. Take in environmental factors. Was it windy? Was it a wet year! Where on the strand is the weave/union? (I'll show pictures of this later, can't right now as my coir is 88 miles away from me currently!) If you can...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Almost had no proof of cooking....that is all that is left. Got so mesmerized with how they looked and tasted, it was all in when they got to the counter! Made a blueberry chipotle bbq sauce that was slap yer momma good to compliment them.

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

That is a very sweet set up you have @TrickyDick. Very sweet!! I never had a chance to use artisan, so I wouldn't be able to give a comparison for which one is better. The bread machine heat gun I started with was modded by me with a dual temperature probe meter. I hand did my charts, as I...

You don't have to feed them 3 times TD. Fresh youngsters like what you have, should have a lighter plan for food boosts. Second year, and older plants will be better suited for an aggressive feeding regime. I would let them go for 3 weeks before feeding, and then go with your 15-0-0 fertilizer...

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

Nothing special I recall about this roast @TrickyDick . I know I had been experimenting a little bit with a lower preheat drum charge. I hit hard with power for most of the roast and as soon as 1st crack, I would then drop power, increase fan and drum speed to promote circulation and an...

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

That Ethiopian was a failure for me @TrickyDick, or I completely failed to bring the blueberry aspect to the forefront more likely. The best blueberry coffee I have found this year was with a Nicaragua Dry process Buenos Aires Caturra, that needed a 3 week rest for it to come into it's own! My...

    Help with Hop Planters

1 thing.....you might be underestimating the growth of the root system. I like those planters in the fact that it lets you utilize more of the water that you are using for that purpose. It is great for tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and other garden vegetables. Hops are anything but garden...

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

Hey TD! That looks to be a fairly decent hydro-lizer(new word! LoL). Skip the 6-12-28 at beginning and end...in the middle is good. Need to up the nitrogen at beginning...this is what I would do: 20(+)-0-0 for early feed...maybe last week in April Both bags for 2nd feed 6-12-28 + 15-0-0 (which =...
