    Kegging PSI Drop

Was the tank warm when the regulator was reading 900?

$100 burning a hole in my pocket...

I believe I got my aluminum 44qt bayou classic with basket on amazon for under $70. You should be able to find a burner and stand for around $30 to pair with it.

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

Brewed this last night and everything went well. OG came in right at 1.066. Strange thing though, I ended up with over 6 gallons of beer doing BIAB. Not sure where the extra wort came from but the OG was spot on. I used my normal mash volume (no sparge) but didn't get the same absorption. I...

    My keezer build

Awesome! I'll have to verify the measurements at the Lowes nearby to see if they have the lower profile hump. So you're running 2 ball locks on the floor and one on the hump with the co2? Do you think you could fit a better bottle on the hump with the CO2 outside? Ideally I want something I can...

    My keezer build

Any chance you could grab a model# and interior dimensions for this freezer? I think I measured this one at Home Depot and didn't think 3 would be possible without a really tall collar. Might have to reconsider it.

    "Class 3" Ball-Lock Kegs

The plastic handle on their single handle ball locks is very sturdy, which is why I went with them for a couple bucks more. I'd be worried about the cut rubber ones ripping off when carrying the keg.

    "Class 3" Ball-Lock Kegs

I just bought 4 of the single handle ball lock kegs from them 2 weeks ago. They have a few dents at the top due to the lack of rubber top but are otherwise in really good shape. They came clean and hold pressure fine. I payed $91 plus $37 for shipping to Ohio. All told, 128 is for 4 ball locks...

    What are you drinking now?

I've had their watermelon beer and it was pretty meh as well. I was in the mood for a black IPA. This is more of an unbalanced porter. Switching to Summit Horizon Red Ale. This stuff is pretty good.

    What are you drinking now?

21st Amendment Back in Black (black IPA). It's pretty disappointing. Very little hop flavor, over done on the black malt.

Another Keezer build - Sunbeam 7.2, 4 faucet tower

Samurai- Can you give me an idea of the depth of the freezer box? I am about to pull the trigger on this freezer and want to see if I can fit a better bottle on the hump without a collar. I'm guessing this won't be possible, but any help you can give on the interior dimensions would be awesome.

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

Going to brew this beer sometime in the next week or so. Any thoughts on using White Labs English Ale WLP002? I've got some in the fridge that I washed a while back and would like to use it soon. If not I'll wait a couple of weeks and toss it on a US05 yeast cake that is currently fermenting...

    krausen after 2 weeks?

Which Belgian yeast? I had WL300 do that both times I used it. No big deal, it will drop soon.

    Centennial Blonde W/O Cascade

I made mine with all centennial (added 1oz dryhop) and it's fantastic. I didn't think I was a big fan of blonde ales but this might be the best beer I've made this year. I can't see ever not having this on tap at home. It's too popular. Too easy to drink. Too delicious.

Winter Seasonal Beer Great Lakes Christmas Ale Clone

How long are you aging this beer? I'm thinking it might need to age for a month or two and I'd like to make a small test batch this summer to dial in the recipe before brewing 15 gallons in preparation for winter. Just need to figure out when I need to get started.

    AHS Hefeweizen Priming Amount

I bottled this exact kit a few weeks ago and used the included priming sugar. The beers are perfectly carbonated for a Hefe. I would not use more, as i think the beers would be severely over carbonated. Btw, this is an excellent kit! Everyone loves it.

Made up my mind..... Orange Hefe will be brewed. just a few ???

Are you throwing the oranges in the boil or adding them to the carboy as fermentation slows down? I've got an orange hefe that I added 2oz of orange zest in the last 10 min and its hardly noticeable after 2 weeks fermenting. Thinking of transferring half of it to a small secondary with orange...

review on my first beer; a B.B. red ale

I brewed this in the beginning of February as my first extract brew. I let it go a month in primary and bottled with the priming sugar in the kit. After two weeks in the bottle, it was still green but it had some flavor. Another two weeks and it was actually quite good. Not complex by any...

Hops Utilization experiments with Beer Alchemy

Not sure how much this adds to the thread but I happen to be drinking my first fully carb'd three hearted ale from Northern brewer and I did a late extract addition on it. It has an excellent hop bite to it and came out close in color, just slightly darker than bells. I am a big fan of bells...
