    30Amp E-HERMS w/ 3 Keggles Build

Seems like everyone enjoys a new build around here so I figured I would add mine to the mix. Not because I think I have something amazing to offer to the conversation but so there's more pics to look at to pass the time away. Pics in order are 1. Old Brutus 10 system w/ 1 pump 2...

Does your control panel HAVE to be metal?

the enclosure isn't quite the full 16x16x8 that Kal uses but it's pretty close at 14x16x7 I think. With a hole saw and a drill I'm making quick work of this fiberglass without a drill press which is pretty sweet! For 20 bucks THE PRICE IS RIGHT in my opinion.

Does your control panel HAVE to be metal?

It was St. Paul and they did have a bunch more. It looked like something that they got a bunch of so I wouldn't be shocked if they had some at fridley.

Does your control panel HAVE to be metal?

This may sound like a really stupid question to those who paid attention in physics class...but here goes anyway. I found these water proof enclosures at the AxMan (for those who don't live in the twin cities, this place is awesome!) for 19.99 that appear to be used for electrical purposes...

Correct, it does not include the pumps just the stand, the plumbing, the burners, the pump mounts, and the regulator.

W/ All due respect to Kal...what could you cut on control panel?

W/ All due respect to Kal...what could you cut on control panel?

What is the difference between the RTD and the P100 in terms of the probes that go in the kettles? Also, if I understand some of the points made Auber = the ability to dial in a % of power which is advantageous in the BK for not producing boil overs. MYPIN = has two models, one that will just...

    Minnesota Brutus 10 stand w/ 3 - 23tip Jet Propane Burners

    Minnesota Brutus 10 stand w/ 3 - 23tip Jet Propane Burners

Got a Brutus 10 build that I made a few years back and am trying to upgrade to electric. She's all manual, no control panel as of yet. 3 burners, all 23 Jet Tip Propane burners Gas is plumbed in the back bar w/ no leaks. Comes with heat shield, spot to attach pumps, low pressure...

W/ All due respect to Kal...what could you cut on control panel?

Thanks for all the great thoughts and discussion here. My process is pretty streamlined at this point. HLT has a copper coil (old immersion chiller) and wort is recirced during mash from MLT, through HLT heated to mash temp, and back to MLT over the top. Sparge/MashOut is accomplished by...

W/ All due respect to Kal...what could you cut on control panel?

Curious how the switches work? when you want the elements on in the HLT or MLT you flip the switch and when they reach your set point you turn them off or do you have an SSR (solid state relay) in there somewhere that the PID's flip when it goes below a set point.

W/ All due respect to Kal...what could you cut on control panel?

iijakii I guess that's part of the reason I asked...I don't know all that I want or don't want because I don't have anything to compare. Hoping to tap into the wisdom here on the sight and others who are a few steps ahead. processhead that's what I'm looking for...if the on/off switch...

W/ All due respect to Kal...what could you cut on control panel?

Looking to convert an all manual brutus10 to Electric. IF YOU HAD TO...what could you cut from Kal's design on the control panel and still get the job done? Not looking for FULLY automated but rather something that will read MLT and HLT temps, 2 pumps, HERMS, fly sparging. I'm thinking I...

    When to transfer to 2dary

Thanks guys. appreciate the feedback. I'm using the California Ale strain from white labs used in so many IPA's and Pale Ales. Things have slowed pretty significantly over the past few days and will take a gravity reading this afternoon when I get home.

    When to transfer to 2dary

Got a Pale Ale going that I've had in primary for a week now. Usually the krausen drops by now and airlock stops and I transfer to secondary for dry hops. Question: Krausen is still present, is there any reason why I shouldn't transfer to secondary or would you wait until all activity is...
