    Counterflow Versus Immersion Chiller

    It was a 20 foot counter flow, now it's a 40 foot immersion. 3/8 inch diameter. I had a false bottom and a chore boy on the pickup tube in a keggle. I don't have a pump so it was all gravity fed. Today's brew has totally sold me on the immersion.

    When people mention diaper pail smells I imagine horrible knock you down aroma. My sour mash has gotten a bit musty, but not horribly. Still tastes clean Planning on using it tomorrow, any more input?

    Got the mash cooked and in the cooler. Temps were at 105 degrees after 10 hours. Swapped out the water just now. I think this is gonna work just fine.
