I'm brewing a robust porter and when i keg it i want to add vanilla or pepper to it. Has anyone done this with much success?

Well if you want sour, white mold infection won't do it. Doesn't impart any flavor or gastro-intestinal effects. It's hard to control when its humid, i've had two beers with it that tasted great.

Another great thing we can't get in pa!!!! I guess i'll have to make my own just like deschuttes beers. Who has an everclear clone recipe. :(

Dropped my 5gal glass carboy today... Thank glob it only had pbw water in it. Yesterday it held my dry hopped pale ale. Avoided disaster by 24 hours.

Sounds similar to something i tasted at the last hbcm i attended. Brewer made an esb, didn't like it but bottled and shared. Definetly not an esb, but a real nice scotch ale. Don't dump, maybe dry hop, or bottle and drink and learn.

10 bucks sounds like a good deal for an awesome ceramic growler, and the contents can make for a great story, nice score.
