What are you listening to (music!!!) right now? Embarrassing or not... share

BS&T played at my high school, in the football stadium, in the late 60's or very early 70's. Funny, I tried googling it to find out the date but I came up empty, even though I'm 100% certain it happened.

    What are you drinking now?

First full pour of my latest pale ale, Six Bags of You. Hopped with Cascade, Simcoe, and Mosaic. A bit over-carbed, but that’s easily fixed.

    Mid fermentation SG readings

Rapt Pill for me, I like the idea of not having to open the fermenter with beer in it. To answer your third question, yes bubbles/krausen can affect the Pill's reading a bit, but I'm not concerned about one individual reading. The graphical output shows where you are in the fermentation process...

Comments on this Pale Ale recipe

That's what I would do. I'm not a fan of Voss, which I've tried using a few times without much joy. Going with US-05, or any fairly clean ale yeast would be well worth considering. If, for fermentation temperature concerns, you're leaning towards a Kveik yeast then I'd recommend going with Lutra...

    What are you drinking now?

Firestone Walker’s 2018 Molé Merkin, a limited-edition, barrel-aged stout featuring a blend of flavors inspired by Mexican mole. It's a variant of their popular Velvet Merkin. This one’s aged in brandy barrels and infused with cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and dried Puya chili peppers.

    Morning brew day

I wish I could prep more, but I brew on my back patio and I can't leave all my gear out overnight. But a day or two before brew day I'll mill the grains and measure out minerals and hops. That's about it. The typical morning starts with carrying everything from the garage out back to the patio...

American IPA West Coast-ish IPA/Pale ale

@wepeeler - have you done any more iterations of this? Just wondering which you've landed on as being your favorite.

    Don't Do That.

At least you had a home. We lived for three months in a rolled up newspaper in a septic tank.

    Don't Do That.

In September 1976 I saw Blue Oyster Cult with opening acts Rush and Angel. Ticket price was $5.50 Those were the days.

    Stupid Joke Thread!

Hooked all my wrist watches together and made a belt. Turned out to be a waist of time.

    What are you drinking now?

Totality imperial stout, from Fifty Fifty Brewing in Truckee, CA. A 9.9% silky smooth stout, with a head so thick and creamy you could float a witch on it.

    What are you drinking now?

The chicken is still grilling. I have just enough time for a HB Munich Dunkel. I bottled a few and kegged the rest.
